Post match interview will be interesting...
Most comfortable home win I can remember for quite some time. Superb when we had to be, by the end we were conserving energy for Saturday while remaining entirely unthreatened by Cardiff. Hat tip to Sinclair for getting the ball rolling with pace and power that led to the (harsh) penalty and sending off, and Dykes for a perfect penalty and great striker's tap in, unlucky not to have a hattrick.
Now all we need is MB to come out in the post match interview and say course I'm staying what are you lot on about?

The same way that nobody got MOTM v Luton because everyone was so average, I thought every single player stepped up today and played their hearts out (ok I accept Seny had nothing to do). Lovely stuff. Top of the league
Just before we leave the ground.... cannot believe the support tonight and if the crowd could change MB mind this one tonight would Think the lap at the end is telling and heis off... top of the league and playi g really well.... triffic As Clive says we can't have nice things.....

Andy Sinton said it was a "big if" if Beale was leaving........ seems like a lot of sentiment around that he's off. What the absolute f*ck?! Well, if he goes it's going to be really hard to be gracious about it.
‘morbid curiosity about where this is all going’

Looking at his expression and that of JoJo's as they walked around applauding, they didn't look like they had just won 3-0 and gone top of the table. Doesn't bode well.

Let'a hope Nick London has the balls to try to pin him down on the obvious. (Surely Sints as club ambassador has his finger on the pulse, but he wouldn't tell the likes of us of course.)
Utterly dominant if not supercilious performance from the team on the night, on an evening that felt fringed with a strange melancholy. I think our pen was soft and the red card was all wrong, but the body check on Laird just before probably should have been so it looked like ref was evening it up. Tim was very good, as were Balogun, Paal, Laird and Field, but they really were all in the groove. After we went ahead, Cardiff seemed to me to lose all shape and discipline and will to win after that, and it turned into a training game at times. Only disappointment was that Lyndon didn't stay on to claim his hat trick, and we didn't bury them 5-0.
In other news, Beale on the pitch at the end looked to me like he was clapping a funeral. Painful! Perhaps Hoos and Les have told him to go, because the 1m comp matters more to the club than holding a top manager to his contract. Wouldn't surprise me one bit.

I'd say Andy S is a big tease - they're all at it, and this is QPR.
BEALE AND FT REPORT QPR 3 Cardiff 0 We should know very soon. Will he go or will he stay? We are top of the Championship after 15 games. Let’s face it — that would have been only in our wildest dreams before the season started. We took a chance with a new manager in his first role as No.1. So well done Mick Beale. But why on earth would he want to leave when he has this project working so well. If he sees it through — even for just one season - and maybe a top 6 spot or even more dreaming — promotion — that would enhance his credentials. I just don’t understand Beale’s logic. And if he goes then I will be very angry — bloody angry. In fact I’m already angry. And I’ll tell you why. If he goes he would be disrespectful to those that employed him. Surely in one of those recent interviews this week he could have just said I’m staying at QPR. The reason — “I’ve only just joined”. Mick Beale is a good coach, a good talker and he’ll go far. But my respect for him will be down the plug-hole if he leaves. His integrity and loyalty will stink — the equivalent of going into a sewer. Yes of course I understand the lure of the Premiership — why not? As he said — he’s ambitious as should all of his players. It’s the correct thing to have that attitude. We all have ambitions — however big or small. But there is a time and a place to strike. For Beale to move on after just 15 Championship games is downright disgusting. And this just months after signing a 3-year contract with our club. Respect, integrity and loyalty are extremely important. QPR gave him an opportunity. He took the job after years of learning his trade. And all credit to him. But this would be just a kick in the teeth or a punch in the guts to everyone connected to the club. In the future when he gets the bullet from another club — how could anyone — who want to employ him - trust him? If you’ve got no respect, loyalty or integrity — then there doesn’t seem to be any point in any job especially as our QPR gave him a chance. As said he had the opportunity during Tuesday to squash this Wolves ‘invite’. I was staggered that he did not. I was disappointed that he did not. I had been — like many of us — impressed not only with his coaching ability, the way he talks about football, and it seemed at the time - his respect, integrity and loyalty. Yes a bad run of several defeats — he probably would have been given the boot. But his contract presumably would have been paid up in full. And this would happen anywhere whether he succeeds or fails at any club. At our ‘little’ club (in comparison to those giants) he is learning his trade as the No.1 and gone on to greater things. In my opinion he would be letting himself down, his employers down and us down. Somehow with Mark Warburton — respect, loyalty and integrity seemed of paramount importance. And what are the players going to think? These are kids and youngsters. If he leaves what an example to show them. Absolute crap. Hopefully Beale will see the light — so to speak. And me reacting like a wild-thing. I hope Wolves get relegated, and — if his departure happens - we appoint someone who has the quality of Beale and more - and that we get promoted. As for the match we deserved our win against a very poor side. Beale had definitely got the team ‘fired-up’. Maybe before the match he told them he was staying. They played as if he was going to stay. Who knows! The contest really was all over in the 18th minute when Cardiff’s Simpson was sent off for fouling the dynamic Armstrong in the box. My goodness Armstrong’s pace and power is breathtaking. He’s going to be a great asset for us. Dykes converted another great penalty and added a second 12 minutes before HT following a Chair cross after a magnificent team goal — starting with Seny. Five goals for him this season — 4 in the last two home games. And Paal scored his first goal for the club 16 minutes from time heading across the goal from the by-line after a pinpoint 40 yard left-footed cross from Field. It could have been so much more. So 7 wins and a draw from our last 10 matches. Top of the table — 27 points from 15 games and another home match on Saturday against Wigan. Hopefully the bitter taste in my mouth will have been washed away by Beale staying. But if he goes then respect, integrity and loyalty — as far as he’s concerned - will stink even more regarding Beale. I hope he does the right thing. I hope he genuinely wants to continue and develop this very impressive side.

Great performance and a comfortable win. Perfect response to Saturday.
I thought the atmosphere was a bit odd tonight, definitely not as electric as the Reading game. Perhaps I’m reading into it? Did anyone else feel the same?
As I mentioned on a previous thread, this league bloody intense, going from that Luton performance to this AND top of the league?! Enjoy the good times.

Maybe I'm just trying to find positives when there isn't one, but I wonder if the atmosphere was as much down to the fact that the game was in a sense dead. I mean of course it was fun, but there was no tension at all. I thought from about the 5th minute we would win this comfortably, once the red card came that was clear and there was just no drama whatsoever. I mean its great to be so dominant and win, but it was as routine as routine goes. I don't remember feeling that calm watching football in ages, even Boro and Hull this season had a few moments, Cardiff were just a non-entity.

It's not only that he's (commendably) trying to; I'd be expecting t hold Beale to his own words about the opportunity he's been given. Or he can f*ck off to Wolves and look like a stupid, greedy, lying berk, leaving untold egg on Hoos' and Les's faces (and us mere fans shafted).

This - top of the league!! - and mainly miserable tonight. Jeez Rangers.....
Don't forget when we were top of the Championship before we had a possible points deduction hanging over us so it is hard work for us to enjoy when we top this league...
