Wow, wow, wow, wow.... what a finish! Senny Dieng has jsut carved his name in folklore. Second half I kept visualising Alex Neil leaving with his head in his hands... sometimes the voodoo works!
Just like hanging on against 'Boro for the three points, every point we eek out until Mr Michael Beale (nix? ) gets his players back and fit are vital. I only saw the second half and, in isolation that wasn't too bad. I saw Jack Supple's Tweet around how poor Nico was in the first half in terms of ball retention, but I don't think he did much wrong in the second half. Chair was well off it until the free kick. The only bit I am confused about is why Roberts didn't start - surely it is vital we get him on the pitch when Willock isn't there.
This should give everyon a massive, massive lift. Really needed...
I switched off with half an hour to go to spend time with the family. Couldn’t be happier to see the final score. Credit to Beale and the team for salvaging a point from what looked like a lost cause.

Last time I was up there Sheron scored twice for us in a 2-2 draw which was handy and made the long journey home in the Escort van more cheerful, I'd take that right now. People need to get away from thinking our next two home games will produce points for us, football doesn't work like that, Blackpool and Rotherham deserve to be treated with caution and respect, they've earnt their right to be in this league. Our missing players today is a bit of a blow, we'll just have to be switched on from minute one.

FT REPORT Sunderland 2 QPR 2 Speechless, unbelievable, incredible!! This is magic. It's what we all wait for. Buy Seny a round tonight. Buy Seny several rounds tonight. For 86 minutes we were out played and outclassed. 2-0 down and Chair hits a perfect free-kick into the top corner. Ok that's our consolation goal. No chance of a draw. But NO. Up goes Seny in the second of four minutes of extra time and heads in a stunner from a Chair perfect cross. So that's it then. But NO. Seny - in his normal job as goalkeeper - makes a brilliant close range save before the follow-up hits the underside of the bar and bounces clear. Seny's smile at the finish was as wide as the Grand Canyon. The team celebrated along with Mike Beale in front of the stalwart fans who had made it to Sunderland. What a reward for those making such a long journey. The adrenalin is high - wherever we are in the world. We've all gone nuts with such a sensational result. Did we deserve it? No. But we'll all take it. Can you imagine the buzz our team will take into our battles both at home against Blackpool on Tuesday and Rotherham on Saturday. Down and out - NEVER. That's the theme that will be taken from this amazing result. If we can get a result at Sunderland we can do it anywhere - home or away. Sometimes a bit of luck (when Sunderland hit the underside of the bar), and two quality kicks from Chair and a sensational header from Seny can turn a season into - well just bloody wonderful. Who knows - but let's enjoy this weekend. Up till then it was - 'Houston - we have a problem'. Let me rewrite that - QPR - we have a very big problem. In our first three games we conceded 3 of 4 goals via corners. This time Sunderland twice sliced us open with impressive movement for Stewart and Simms to score in the last 15 minutes before HT. OK we were missing the injured Willock and Amos plus our new players Paal, Clarke-Salter and Richards - and Thomas too. For a thin squad like ours to be unable to put half of our best starting eleven onto the pitch - well it's going to be a disaster. And so it proved until Chair and Seny decided to change all that in the dying embers of the match. Without five of those six unavailable players we seem to be at best - a mid-table League 1 outfit. This is a continuation down the slippery pole of our finish to last season. As for Mike Beale - he must have been wondering - 'what have I done?' by joining this mediocre Championship team. Strange how just a few minutes can change everything. He'll be smiling with the team on his way home but he knows he has a major task ahead. It was overall a poor performance. The confidence was pouring away. Forget about the water shortage (and it is serious) - we had a performance shortage. - bar the last few minutes. Poor Hamaleinen - he should be put out of his misery. - despite his contract. He's clearly - along with several others - not Championship quality. Ok we did have good first half chances - Adomah header, Dykes , and a Dickie header just wide - but overall the belief had disappeared into a dry canyon. Tyler Roberts coming on at HT led to some belief in the team. He looks a class act despite hitting a close range shot wide. Sunderland paid the penalty for not going for a third. The Sunderland fans were leaving the stadium several minutes before the finish - thinking - this match is all over at 2-0. And let's face it we believed that too. The introduction of Armstrong 9 minutes from time - also made a difference. QPR please take care of him. He may turn out to be a jewel. An intended overhead kick to equalise was just missed. But his raw power, speed and strength will ultimately, hopefully, beat up any defence. Just bring him on slowly. As for the result - just on my way to buy Seny a few rounds. Roll on Tuesday.
