for what ever reason, home or away. the match....pre or post, it doesnt matter.
mine....cologne away, 1976, bad result, brilliant outcome, great 3 days. springbok, to where ever, where ever to zeebrugge, zeebrugge all the way to cologne. ferry and coach by the way. some hairy moments in and around the ground, but a great journey.
wished i had gone to athens next round, even though we lost.
a lot of the games have already been mentioned but one that still sticks out for me was the 4-4 draw at port vale in 97? i think. lots of people left at half time when we were 4-0 down and missed the madness of the second half especially when spencer equalized in injury time.

the 5-5 with Newcastle was incredible, one of the best I've ever seen. 4-0 down but could have been 4-4 at half time. Like a basketball game.
Other ones that 2-0 cup win over Arsenal, 3-2 against man Utd when we had the tube strikes and ground was half empty. 6-0 against Chelsea in 86 and the away semi final draw with Liverpool Beating liverpool 3-2, Falco getting the winner and Seaman making a great save from Rush 4-1 win over Spurs in 92, great second half performance in the rain. Les taking Newcastle apart in 1995 Port Vale away 4-4 Man City away - Jamie Pollock Day Oldham playoff game Beating Plymouth 3-0 in promotion year (great atmosphere that day) Preston and Luton wins at home in 2006/07 to keep us up Almost every home game of 2010/11, Swansea and Leicester the 2 big ones Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal & Spurs wins in the Prem Man City away - Aguero day Bobby Zamora Day Austin hat trick v West Brom 67 anniversary game v Cardiff in white shirts, won 2-1 Warnock was fuming 3-2 win over Brentford under McClaren, great atmosphre that day

3-2 comeback win over Liverpool. Was too good. My bro was calling for us to leave just before we scored our first. Overruling him was one of my best decisions

Coming to this late all the obvious one’s covered, I will offer up something slightly different.
Early-mid 90’s we had a little group who we jokingly referred to as ‘the Paddock Boo-Boys’. I was actually the only original QPR fan (although I have no familial links, nor am I from West London - this much I will have bored you with before!)
Anyhow on the longish journey I was explaining to all and sundry that the oppo’s main striker could not hit a barn door at 10 paces, let alone score against. Guess who was Mr. Popular when Efan Okoku put the home side up after about a few minutes. It was a topsy-turvy game and standing on that old side terrace there was a bloke (presumably well-oiled) near us clearly in love with Darren Peacock.
Any game with a last minute winner is great but when, in that split second we looked at each other and all knew Devon’s gonna miss this - he calmly strokes the ball home to general delirium in the away end (side.)
I give you Norwich City 3 QPR 4. A perfect day amongst friends.

Promotion with my then ten year old son at Sheffield Wednesday. I kept trying to tell him not to get used to days like these, but bugger it, that was wonderful.

I’m glad you mentioned that Plymouth game. What a season that was! Beating Brentford 1-0, battering Wednesday 3-0 (welcome to League One, make yourself at home), a lucky late equaliser against Notts County (?), a final nail-biting 1-0 v Swindon, what a ride that was.
Another fun game a while later, 2-0 down to Leicester, Furlong and Cook dragged us to 3-2. Cook giving Palace the runaround in a 4-2.

The only home game I missed that season as I was going on holiday very early the next day. At half time I thought I'd made a brilliant decision.....

Team really coming into form but 2 nil up away at old Trafford after 5 minutes play, was beyond strange
Ended up 4 - 1 but that scoreline flattered them but there were only 619 of us apparently.
Very strange hat trick by one match wonder - Dennis Bailey.
Saw us beat Liverpool and Chelsea at home 3-2 and 4-2 both with incredible Mark Falco volleys.
Best home game for atmosphere was 2 nil win v Arsenal in FA Cup. Kenny Sansom low drive in horrendous rainstorms and Sinton finishing off a counter attack late on. That was fantastic
Actually though most enjoyable because even in South Africa Road, being surrounded by Spurs fans and them being incredibly cocky when leading 1 nil at halftime Us playing supreme football to win 4-1.
Singing "Same old Rangers. Taking the Piss." Thought we were destined for the big time that day. Alas !!!

6 : 1 Palace
Coming of age, pulled a rough bird and spewed my curry up on the Goldhawk rd
You scored one more than they did that night then. They were lucky to get none... 6-0 it was and surely there was a fix about it, BUT WHO GAVE A SHITE???!!!!

ahem 31,002 in 76 (I was chuffed me n g/pa were the 002. The 35k crowd was 73/74 when they were already champs
I was at both games and there was some interesting arithmetic with the crowd in 75-76. There was definitely as many there as in 73-73 which was all ticket and therefore offered Jim and Ron less scope for creatvity.
Probably the most packed that I ever remember the Loft end was against Manchester United in 73-74.
