Stoke Match Thread 00:47 - Apr 23 with 21798 views | Boston | I'm pottering around tomorrow. Much of the morning will be spent wrapping a job and moving equipment to the next victim's work site. But, ever vigilant and a radio aficionado...I shall be there, on the airwaves. The roll continues, Stoke 1 - Queens Park Rangers 2.

Stoke Match Thread on 08:34 - Apr 23 with 5823 views | derbyhoop | We can't finish higher than 4th. Realistically the best we can hope for is 6th. But I suspect we wont win the last 3 and miss out. All 3 results are Stoke are possible, depending on which Rangers side turns up. Injuries and loss of form have hit at exactly the wrong time.

I think the injuries, caused by the infinite variations of THE CURSE (including hamster bites, infected piles, aggravated baldness etc) reduces our options somewhat. Even so, we still have a decent shout. I'll go for a narrow 1-0 to the good guys, probably scored in the last 10 mins. Dom Ball now exists in a state of ontic uncertainty as he both plays and does not play for us.

Whatever about injuries, not really sure you can 'loss of form has hit at exactly the wrong time' considering it went on for 2.5 months and we are only slowly emerging from it now (a last minute winner against a bottom 3 team, while welcome, is not exactly evidence of a return of early season form.). Three teams, Ourselves, WBA and Blackburn have had long protracted bad runs, which have pretty much done for us in terms of the play-offs. Others, like Luton and Huddersfield, have had blips, lose a couple in aa row and then recover ( a bit like us in December/January). Bournemouth are quite interesting, they have been doing just enough to keep ahead of the posse, but have not been convincing doing it and are not home and hosed yet. Whether Sheffield United's and Middlesbrough's recent results are a 'blip' or something more serious remains to be seen, but for them the timing really is bad.
Stoke Match Thread on 09:46 - Apr 23 with 5677 views | terryb | We have a very good record at Stoke in recent years, far better than playing them at home. Kakay to repeat his goalscoring feat of last season & Rangers to return home with three points (as usual).
Stoke Match Thread on 09:49 - Apr 23 with 5677 views | DannyPaddox | A stunning 4-0 away win by QPR at Stoke sends the club and fans into resurrection play-off fever. However the play-off hopes are dashed the following Friday as the Rs squander 44 attempts on goal before drawing 0-0 at home to Sheffield United. The game is abandoned on 88 minutes - squirrels - but the result stands.

Taken out two footed, Clint Hill-style and eaten by a bat whilst an instrumental version of 'Circle of Life' played in the background [Post edited 23 Apr 2022 11:01]
