Fulham Match Thread. 20:59 - Apr 1 with 27282 viewsDiscodroids

I haven't started a match thread since Nikita Khrushchev shot a CCCP Space monkey into the kuiper belt to assemble antenna at Salyut Laboratories.

However, Word has reached me  here in Leigh on Sea, That the Fulham Hooligan element  are on full manoeuvres for tomorrow.

QPR Fans be warned, Their Hooligans will be tooled up in  cat skin dueling gloves dipped in shattered resin with  grandfather Pendulum Clock weights dropped down the leg of one's 72 button fly buckskin pantaloons

Also, Beware of Steel fish hooks sewn into their smoking Jacket lapels by bespoke Jermyn Street tailors. The regulation timber snuff boxes of the Fulham Hooligan, have been replaced for tomorows game with ones constructed from lingnum vitae, a hardy flush grain that will prove to be a redoubtable piece of kit upon one's Cranium.

Be aware of the canny sharpening of their briar churchwarden pipes to a keen edge That would take one's fackin' eye out.

They  have also recruited extra muscle from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa legion , loyal by their blood oath to the mustard corduroy trouser. The no good slags secrete  Maris pipers studded with razor blades  in their cumberbands .

Finally,  be on the ready eye for fulham hooligans in Stove pipe hats,  as they have  leaded piano legs in them which could split one's cannister open leaving one down the A&E Saturday night with the skagheads, Brasses and meat rack nonces without so much as an old fashioned in ones hip flask.

3-1 to the glory superhoops.

What chance have we got when our CAPTAIN is applauding the oppo fans when he’s walking off the pitch in a derby. Boils my piss.

Captain my arse. Be glad if he decided he off in the summer as he has contributed feck all this season.

100% this
Embarrassing from some QPR fans that are grateful we are on the same pitch as Fulham
Not one shot on goal second half , the pidgins by the six yard box couldn’t believe their luck again

That's how low we have sunk PP. Warburton is on thin ice with me.

For sure we will appeal agiainst the ludicrous yellow for Warburton and Red for Eustace. Yet nothing was done to the Fulham coach. You can see which side ward supports.....

What a dreadful but expected day, bloody Barnsley once again threw away a lead to draw at home to the f ucking fakes too who will most probably stay up.

Good, get Barnsley out of this division. They always beat us.

Well despite the score line , a much much better performance by QPR. But to be honest we have posed virtually zero danger in the opposition box and made no real goal scoring chances .

Despite the improved team performance I really can’t see how we are going to score a goal from open play again this season

I think we are looking for a proper winger, not only wing backs.

Teams have sussed us out

There"s no point in having good headers of the ball if we don"t give it to them

Yes just thrown it away. Anyone would think we didn't want promotion with our performances of late....

Anyone honestly surprised by the result though really?

What is stark is the ease and comfort Forest and Boro breezed past their respective oponents. QPR are nowhere near their level.

Who is on Arthur Fowler duty tonight? Only, I've got to go out in a bit so I won't be able to comprehensively fcuk up the house.

Poll: Playoffs?

FT REPORT on 17:14 - Apr 2 with 1907 viewsGreenbay

FT REPORT
QPR 0 Fulham 2
QPR played to the maximum of their abilities.
You can’t ask for more than that.
But that ability is not good enough for a top 6 position.
Why — simples — because we can’t buy the better players because of our budget.
And more important it appears that very little is being produced from our Under 23s.
Yes we pressed well against Fulham — certainly in the first half.
They are such a quality side.
They really cruised through the match.
Thomas was an energy bunny — before he was replaced by Charlie sporting pink in his hair.
He’s obviously learnt something from Dykes.
The pace of Thomas has been what we've required since the start of our slump.
But Fulham are in a different league to us.
And they will be at the end of the season.
Let’s be honest — they completely outplayed us.
There’s no shame in that.
For us Field — yet again — was impressive.
When you don’t have in the starting line-up Dieng, Dunne, Willock and Chair (he played the last 20 minutes) then that is a massive blow.
Dieng and Willock of course both out for the season.
No creativity — then no chance.
Inevitably it was Mitrovic who scored in either half.
His second was from a penalty
Referee Gavin Ward delivered a very harsh decision when the ball struck Wallace’s elbow.
Overall - we are - this season six points better off after 39 games — than last year.
We are currently 9th — where we finished last term when we captured 68 points.
Anything above 9th and above 68 points — let’s count that as a success.
I will.

See my previous post on this topic, dismissed by those 'realists' as wacky conspiracy theory. Wouldn't be so surprising - Peter Hucker, for example, says in an interview somewhere that there were forces at QPR that didn't want us to win against Oxford in the Milk Cup Final that never happened. Anyone who thinks pro football doesn't contain corruption needs to wake up.

Not that that was the issue today - we're simply just not very good.

Agree with the sentiment and the stark reality of "modern football" - but if we were Fulham we wouldn't be complaining. At least it should be a long time before we have to play them again. We are a lot poorer than some realise. Can't see another win this season - and next season is already starting to feel ominous.

Yes money has killed football as a competition. You know which teams will be at the top of the Premier league (those who play in the champions league) and the championship (those relegated with parachute money) before a ball is kicked at the start of the season.
Talk about boring.

Totally agree. We have gone from a team scoring in virtually every game, to a team who can't score and barely threatens to do so. It is like a switch turned off and we have called it a day. We usually do that with 8 games to play once safe. Every time we get past 50 points we seem to limp to the finish line.

a lot of my ire directed at ward, but we were. We need to sort out a fair bit, one thing being the amount of space attacking teams appear to have around our box, especially when in comparison to us attacking. We don't look like a concordant whole at the moment. Amos capable of some nice stuff, but not nearly enough of it. Another casper? Seeing Thomas's performance made me wonder why we haven't seen more of him. But too many of our players fade badly from the sixtieth minute.

I think most of us know who didn't want us to beat oxford and why, to the extent that we know how he helped achieved it through effectively, in both senses of the word, drugging the team. I can't fathom why anyone in the hierarchy at Rangers would want us to stay down so that they could keep losing money.

Agree with all of that, my man.

We also seem to have lost our identity, which worries me more than losing our form.

Are we the team that dominates down the left?
Are we the team that moves it quickly through the center to our two link men?
Are we the team that is miserly in defence?
Are the team that plays out from the back?

I don't really know what our identity is at the moment.

I mentioned our fitness levels earlier. This needs addressing. Too many out of condition, and running out of years in the team. Football nowadays is frantic and very fast. You need young uns with bags of energy and pace. As if we don't have enough to worry about, there doesn't seem to be anything coming through from the stiffs either. Hopefully the new training ground will address that issue.I personally think we will finish below last season's 9th place - we look and sound done out. Oh and someone please send Dykes back to Scotland.

our form in LOndon derbies is SHAMEFUL, woeful and disgraceful! not good.
the season is falling apart now, shame we were so close to something special then pop, bubble burst.

We have been awful in derbies for many years now but the fact is most of them are much better than us. Whether we like it or not, Chelsea, West Ham, Arsenal, Spurs have Financial clout, Fulham and Brentford have been on the up for some time and these are games we usually lose. Whenever we play these clubs we sem to be in an indifferent place while they are on the up.

I feel we have been in decline for over two decades on comparison to our London rivals and we are not much above the level of Charlton, Orient and Wimbledon. We lost to Charlton in the season they went down, we needed pens to beat Orient and Millwall took 4 points off us this season.

I personally can't see this changing in the future without serious financial input. Without it we will drift like Charlton going nowhere. I wish I could be more positive but we seem to have returned to our thir ld division roots and mentality before most of you were born.
