Team v Blackpool 09:55 - Feb 22 with 5708 views | PinnerPaul | Ok guess work/opinions time again. I'm thinking he will play Moses and Stef, which will mean dropping Field and Amos, and moving Willock back centrally, behind whichever striker we despise the least up front!

Team v Blackpool on 09:23 - Feb 23 by Silverfoxqpr | Be amazed if Hendrick is dropped after Saturday. He was on the front foot the last 30 and having a stormer, getting forward at every opportunity. |
If you compare Hendricks attacking stats against Hull vs Johansens against Millwall, not much in it, but Steff has a higher rating - according to whoscored. Interesting when you consider the results.
Team v Blackpool on 11:38 - Feb 23 with 1572 views | LazyFan | All guesswork but ... JoJo has quite a few assists and has scored a couple. I suspect Warbs may go brave and stick JoJo and Hendrick together dropping Field. If Field does play it will be to man-mark Bowler, who I think is top on successful dribbles in the league. I suspect it will be Austin upfront to hold the ball as Pool will play deep and hold for a draw, especially after the last game where they dominated but we took the points.

Agree, and as MW hinted afterwards that he will play SJ and Hendrick together at some stage, I've gone for him playing them both tonight in my guessetimated team above.
Team v Blackpool on 16:37 - Feb 23 with 1358 views | simmo | If we play a false 9 / non striker system we HAVE to have midfielders committing to running beyond, Field Jeff & Stef need to organise who sits and who goes and then commit, otherwise they're in danger of all sitting in front of Blackpool getting in each others way. With no striker Amos is a must-start. I love Field but maybe this is the game to bench him, especislly with no forward. He's pretty good with the ball but his main asset is contesting midfield and stifling creativity, Blackpool will be short on that, in CM at least, so might be worth commiting to more attack minded CMs like Dozzell, Jeff, etc.

Willock was injured late on against Dull so, may bench him for JoJo. Just a guess.

So according to Ferdinand, Warburton turned down getting another striker because he was satisfied with what he had. Then benches two of them for a must-win game. Very odd.

Warbs got the team selection spot on. And the subs were dead right too and he got them on at just the right time. We quite rightly criticise him when he gets it wrong but last night was perfect.

It was perfect because we won, but talking to a fellow T block ST holder afterwards, he and I thought he went a bit early with the all out defence. They didn't put us any real pressure in the 7 minutes of the 1st half when we had 10. OK, they, like us, had time to reassess at ht what was needed, but wonder if we could have maybe left it alone for 10/15 minutes. But hey, we won, so it worked as did the false 9/no striker, although MW himself said we didn't start that as well as he had hoped. Minor, minor, minor points - who cares now!!!!!!!!!!
