What a coincidence! 18:31 - Feb 12 with 3097 viewsoddjob007

Did anyone else notice that a few seconds after 30 mins and a few seconds after 70 mins, a Harrogate player went down with “cramp” ?

The goalkeeper going down in the 85th minute was farcical, to say the least. Newby clearly also twigged this after not giving the ball back!

Did Robbie comment on this when we last played them? Or was it another team doing similar?

Glad the referee added 6 mins, but ultimately the equaliser was vindication!

And we waste time too. Whatever the thoughts about the keeper getting injured, that we kept the ball from the throw in illustrated that we weren’t exactly being sportsmanlike either. We can’t take the moral high ground at all.

I don’t think we do time waste… rose tinted spectacles maybe.

Not having that - it was completely unsportsmanlike to go down in the first place!

We have done it down the years, but it is often overlooked.

The keeper was treated for an injury, who knows if he was or not, yet we chose to go against the time honoured tradition of giving the ball back to the opposition when it’s put out for treatment. That is what is unsporting.

You usually have to be winning to waste time!

They were winning 3-2 at the time of their keeper's ridiculous injury feigning bout. He went down after picking the ball up and feeling his lower back before crumpling to the ground. Their physio then appeared to treat his upper legs for cramp.

Newby obviously thought he was trying it on so retained possession from the throw. About 3 minutes later we equalised!

I've no problems at all with retaining the ball in these circumstances. All teams should.

That’s it. It’s not that we did it that’s a problem, more that we can’t have it both ways and try and justify that what Dale do is different and fairer than anyone else.

Kelly took a corner from outside the D today. Where are all the pictures of it on Facebook and Twotter?

To be fair to their keeper - he was crouched down a couple of minutes before he went down and the ref asked if he was okay. He did a thumbs up and got up. Then 2 minutes later he went down. Not sure if both actions were acting or not, but I suspect not.

The behaviour of their manager Simon Weaver to the Col Saunders (mainstand linesman) was disgraceful. He was berrating him constantly. He deserved sending to the stands. Disgraceful.

And to further corroborate this possibility, the first thing their physio did when she got back to the dug out was report to the manager - it was a conversation, not a thumbs up. Seems like quite an elaborate ruse to grab an extra minute which was added on anyway?

Weaver and his staff were spoken to twice by the 4th official about their conduct towards the linesman and they gave the 4th official plenty of verbals as well, numerous times.

Quite what it takes to get sent to the stands is baffling.

Oxley was struggling from early on in 2nd half we noticed it after a goal kick.

For those who have back issues and visit a physio, it was very obvious she was stretching and cracking his lower back. He wasn’t faking it.
