To be fair, Referee mistakes do usually result in reviews, reports and written apologies to the clubs concerned where they have had a material impact on the game.

They just don't report to the public.

In internationals and premiership matches, they now have VAR which also give more transparency to key decisions.

That's not to say though that Rugby in general at the professional level is far better officiated than football, and the players in general are far easier to officiate.

Whatever happened to the moving the ball back 10 yards in football for players arguing with the ref or not being back 10 yards on a free kick?

Deal with the dissent, obstruction to free kicks, and all that mallarky, and football would be a much better spectacle.

It was moved FORWARDS as you don't get many sides arguing when they are given a free kick!
