Some players i really despise and very near the top of the list is Pontus Jansen. He always niggles, fouls, mouths off and in his despicable way does his best to get other players sent off etc.. Its not the fact that he does it , its the sheer cheek in the way he does it. Cant stand him.
Even in this seasons game he was up to his old tricks and I think he came on as a sub and was at it straight away. He's up there with David Speedie
Nice cameo roll for Uncs in this clip lets hope AA drives up the desire in our team for once instead of laying down
They have a few sad wnkrs enjoying their day in the sun certainly. Well aware I'm in the minority here but I do think we would like to believe our exaggerations are truer than they are though.
As far as "a fan base that has forgotten itself" - good thing we're not pompous hey - they have a lot of new online fans skewing perception - young ones, and americans - to whom they have appealed precisely because have had progressive, modern, continentalist success rejecting the usual insular orthodoxies. And the rest hating us is the opposite of them forgetting anything surely?
Thought everyone seizing on Frank's comments during the playoffs was pretty tryhard whatever if I'm honest, but clearly a lot of people in football have been waiting years for some ammo.
Norf's Homer/Flanders and Springfield/Shelbyville analogies are the only truths. They're annoying sure but we'd love to be just as smug, wearing our World's Best Jacket on the monorail.

Everything that comes from the club, the media/Sky and their most prominent fans doesn't really resonate with what you're saying. Have you ever read their official match reports? Read about the justice league table? Seen their pre-season predictions or end of the season team of the years?
I am capable of taking a neutral view and we're nowhere near the same level of pompous. Nobody is.

Just this once, can we raise our efforts and get Albert, Birch, Cookie and anyone else, that supports us and has played for us to speak to the squad. Remind them, how poison pete manages to get in the ear of their continental imports with his lies and hate. Let our players know how they must be prepared to fight tooth and nail to ram those evll words right back down pathetic pete's throat.

I think some of ye are overthinking it. I find them mildly amusing but if Konk supported them I'd want them to go up.
Other than that, it's three points against a no-mark club.
It's like the Justice League table. It's quite funny and good banter - I believe I was the one that posted it on here in the first place - but to act like it's crucial evidence of their condescending delusion is... exactly what we're accusing them of.
xG as a measure of bad luck is a perfectly viable motivational tool anyway :)

Great post - really made me laugh! They are so arrogant.
They actually believe that with their current team they would finish 14-16th in PL. Now, I must admit, I know very little of their current team, but if Norwich and Watford struggled last season and Sheff Utd and WBA are struggling now, I cannot see them finishing in those positions.
Anyway, would love us to beat them and would love to see them implode again.
At the moment, with the money around, there is a potential niche for smaller teams who know what they are doing to survive in the PL, as shown by Southampton, Burnley and Bournemouth (who survived for 5 years). That is why the big clubs want to divert money from them and reduce the size of the league.

Their enjoyable home defeat to the Tykes proves anything can happen in this division and they don't have some kind of foolproof 'blueprint' for success. I will love it, just love it, if we can put another crimp in their entitled 'rinse and repeatism' on Wednesday.
Hoping we can stop the rot of bad results against that lot 2-2 Austin and Dykes to score. If there is another dodgy ref decision let’s hope it goes our way for once.

I hop we beat them but no more than I hope we beat every other team in this division. I'm a bit envious of their success, but I'm a bit envious of Palace or Brighton or any similar sized club currently doing better than us. I do think their manager is a tool, but I think lots of managers are tools.
Bare bones.

I have got an all steak Pukka pie, frites and a small (half tin of beans) for me tea, it's all ready and lined up to go in the oven with a verbal warning from the Missus not to make a mess and not be in a bad mood if/and when we lose.
HP fruity sauce on meat pies and tomato sauce on chicken pies.

I'd put him on the top shelf.

They lost their unbeaten run, so let's hope that we can stop their ten away league sequence without losing.
We are well rested, mostly fit and in form. We have the additions of Austin, Johansen and now Field since last time, when we were unfortunate to lose. They have had a long tiring streak of matches and have a few injuries. We must go all out to try and take the advantages that we currently have.

Ah yes I forgot that we have Scarlett in midfield now, that should help.
