Long time message board reader, bored out of my skull at work so thought I would join up.

Howdy - welcome aboard. Nice choice on the cheese. I said Dairylea and nobody spoke to me for 6 months.

Welcome. Do you have any insight on whether Remy will be available for the play offs?

I only just saw Mont d'Or for the first time a half an hour ago in my local supermarket.

Looks lush. Is it served baked?

Oh, ya, welcome aboard!

Welcome on board. Having seen so many people posting on their favourite cheese got me to thinking; did I ever have to declare one? If I did it has probably changed in the 5-6 years since I discovered Tesco Finest Gorgonzola Piccante which, when it was suggested to me, should be served with a lightly salted cracker and a chilled glass of Pouilly-Fuissé. I have tried mixing it up with aged Stilton and various Chardonnays but nope, the combination first suggested to me is the winner every time. The only time I have ever tasted better was when I picked up a piece from a French (yes I know) cheese fair stall in Nottingham and for no discernible reason just seemed to have a bit of extra bite to it. I am no Turophile so maybe better informed people than me on here may know the answer.

The grass is always greener.

Mont,d'or seems quite pricey . Is it Swiss? I have 2 sons in Zurich both ST holders . Everything is expensive there but maybe this is an exception . I will get them to bring some back when they can .

Eh oop :-)

Ps Cheese is the third best thing, behind dogs and cats (in no particular order the first two). Except Dairylea, which doesn't even count.

I know he was Mr Bridge, and I duly sent him to the naughty room for a Month.
