Carabao Cup - match thread 12:30 09:57 - Sep 4 with 26076 views | derbyhoop | 12:30 kick off, I've been told. Am I the only one struggling to get excited about this. Suspect not. Warbs, in interview, wanted to focus on the start of the league programme, so I'm expecting a scratch team and a typical QPR roll over and have their tummy tickled. No Dykes, Thomas just back in training, Ramkilde gone missing. Oteh to score a perfect hat-trick? [Post edited 4 Sep 2020 16:01]

I think we all will, Myke. Normally I'd be giving out about us chucking the cup away but tomorrow we'll be playing everyone we have available so no blame. And I'm looking forward to seeing the younger players.

Carabao Cup - match thread on 12:48 - Sep 4 with 4499 views | terryb | Isn't it our last "warm up" match? Usually in the last pre season friendly a strongish team is played, so I would expect that we will be close to the strongest team available, without risking anyone with an injury niggle. I'm certainly regarding this as a practice game rather than a competitive fixture.

Carabao Cup - match thread on 14:34 - Sep 4 with 4404 views | BrianMcCarthy | Derby, DavieQPR just reminded us on another thread that it's a 12.30 kick-off. Could you maybe insert 12.30 into the thread title? It might help a few people like me who presume(d) that it's later.

Think it will be Carroll in for Cameron. Could be Wallace for Manning and Thomas for Bos.

Not at all. I'm not sure whether Warbs want to use it like the last pre-season friendly before the Championship starts in earnest OR he wants to sack it off to reduce fixture congestion. Given his comments in the recent interview, I suspect he is leaning towards the latter and the team selection will probably reflect that. If it's the former I'd expect to see a side similar to what we will start with against Forest.

Concerned that Barbet isn't in the squad? Thomas not recovered sufficiently. Other than that all good.
Carabao Cup - match thread 12:30 on 11:47 - Sep 5 with 3204 views | derbyhoop | Strong side, except hard to see where goals coming from. He wants to see more of Dickie ans Masterson, hence no Barbet.
