Remember when we used to sneer and laugh at Swansealona and Brentfordlona - 70-80% possession and no shots?
We have two tiny players up front, yet that doesn't stop aimless punts (no rhyming slang) going upfield.
They are awful, but will win this two or three.
Needless to say we'll get NONE.
For once, I do not think that this is the players on the pitch who are fault - they're actually doing alright today. The mis-management of the club is at fault to let us get to this stage of the season with no recognised striker. Without Hugill, unless he wants to put a below standard Oteh out there, there is no choice left. At least Matt Smith would have done a job of sorts for us here... |  |

I don't quite understand the shape tonight. If we're going for a 'false nine' then I'd have thought it would make more sense to have our wide players playing wide. The full backs getting down the line is all well and good but crosses from deep aren't going to work with Chair upfront and by the time they get up the line it's far too congested in the middle. At the moment there's no space inside for Chair in that role and that's reflected in the fact that his best effort was from 25 yards. We look better though. |  | | |
