Following Mel's stab at an ultimate QPR team last week, he's back with a nightmare selection this week. Three of them at least have no business being in there IMO so I'm sure you'll all have fun with this....
Nightmare eleven - Column25th Apr 2020 19:44 Following his selection of the all time QPR XI last week, Grounds For Divorce author Mel Huckridge went over to the darkside this week with his pick of a worst ever QPR side.9

Our first ever Korean, Park Ji-Sung, the only thing he did was to get loads of Koreans running down the front of F block to get a photo whenever he was on the ball.........not many photos taken.
Ben Sahar, guess he was just too good for us, and anyone else for that matter
The so called striker Steve Slade. He wore the hoops for 4 seasons making 70 appearances over 4 years and scoring 7 goals
THats some Wall of Shame, can think of several from more from the clueless years
Tony Roberts - awful, error-prone, short, miserable, joyless
Jose Bosingwa - refer to Mel's write-up. I can't better that! Bob Malcolm - oh God. Neil Ruddock - oh God part 2. Armand Traore - could be harsh, struggling to think of a worse left-back, though.
Clive Walker - edging out SWP is some achievement Joey Barton - his name just typed itself Gary Chivers - God I hated him and Robbie James, but the latter was at least good once Michael Meaker - end-of-move Meaker, no Rangers player has ever lost the ball more often than him. Ever.
Dominic Iorfa - the man lived offside. Lived there. Mark Hateley - useless, lazy, arrogant, ar$ehole

Mark Hateley - think it was a 0-3 loss at Highbury but my memories not great - worst individual performance I can recall - totally phoned it in - zero effort
Armand Traore - after that cross at The Ethiad for the 2nd most unexpected goal I can recall - Jamie Mackie running into the box and suddenly realising he was on it - can't have Armand in that team!

Yes, Boxing Day at Highbury - shocking. But that was his usual level. Lazy bastid.
Traore - ya, I think that's harsh by me but in my years watching us I can't remember a worse one. I missed 96 until recent streaming occurred bar a few games a season so I probably missed some worse ones, I'd say. However, Traore really could not defend, and rarely tried.

Meaker ahead of Shaun Wright-Phillips? Have you lost your minds?
Ready and Rehman sneaked under the radar successfully.
Ya - SWP, Ready and Rehman were all considered. I had Ready in there until a mate told me he was once POTY. I was back in Ireland then but that's a fair point. I dodn't see much of Rehman. I really thought Meaker was dreadful. SWP sneaks out of the team just for this, even though he nearly ruined it by not celebrating!

There are three categories of player for this exercise:
1) Players who never had any talent, eg Eric Sabin. 2) Players who had talent, but their use by date had long expired by the time we signed them, eg Park. 3) Players who had talent, but just didn't give a flying f##k, eg Boswinga.
I have sympathy with the players in the first two categories, but have no time for those in #3.

I think we need at least two categories: w*nkers; and hopeless f*cks. Some players could make both, I suppose. With two teams, we could enjoy some pointless speculation. Who would score more, hateley and swp for the w*nkers or Slade and Tommy Langley (my personal favourite) for the hopeless f*cks?

went to west ham away game early 70's, could swear he scored 2. we beat them 3-2. the only recollection I have of ron abbott.
I think he started of life as a striker, but some idiot converted him to a centre back.
First time I saw him was coming on as a sub for the reserves. He came on at a corner and banged it in with his head. I thought to myself that we has a real find. Little did I know.

Ah, sorry Terry.
Oi Karl Ready! Don't go far, you. You may need to tog after all.
Not sure why you hate Tony Roberts so much: he was ok for us over a decent period I thought. Would certainly rate him higher than the likes of Lumley, Dykstra, Barron etc.
