All Cardiff had to do was immediately pay the due transfer fee (while sending a small portion to Sala's family) using their TV money from the PL and/or their first parachute payment. They would've been universally commended for their actions.
Instead, they are dragging Sala and his family through the mud, all in the attempt to not have to pay the fee they owe Nantes. The most likely scenario is that in 2-5 months Cardiff are found to be liable to pay the fee, with interest, plus the legal costs, and the trial will portray CCFC in a negative light. Funny isnt though how during the negotiations CCFC knew the agent was involved but still continued.....even to the point where the player God Rest his soul was registered with the FAW....making him a Cardiff player ....so why oh why didnt CCFC kick up a fuss about the agent during the negotiations or in fact refuse to liase with the so called dodgy agent and deal with FC Nantes direct

Mackay also started making up stories, which he admitted weren’t true, saying Everton and West Ham were also interested in him to boost demand and inflate the price. There is a need for anyone culpable to be charge and tried. This could be one of the only good things to come out of this whole sorry fiasco.
It doesn't excuse earlier behaviour from the club though. It's pretty obvious what they're doing - they're not genuiinely seraching for justice; they're exploring every posible avenue/loophole to try and get out of paying for your record signing.
