Some of the women commentators speak far better than some of the monosyllabic morons we call household names and some fawn over long after their playing days.

From the limited amount ive seen its a great deal slower than the mens game. The technical ability is getting better but goalkeeping is generally terrible.
There is lots more scope for their game to develop though - the more women that play from a young age, the better it will get. But its unfair to compare to the mens game.
There are plenty of female footballers who have a much better skill set than some of the cloggers in the mens L1 and L2

There really isn't. In 2017 the Women's World Cup Champions (USA) lost to an U15 team in America, quite convincingly as well. They do not possess a better skill set than some of the players in League 1. Other international women's teams have lost to children in friendly matches too. Australia, ranked 5th in the world at the time, lost 7-0 to a team of 15 year olds in 2016.
I wish them all the best and would be delighted to see them playing in front of huge crowds each week. Let's not exaggerate the level of football on display however.

They may well have a better skill set but they wouldn’t last 5 minutes in L2.
I might identify as female and try to play international football for Wales.

As people who enjoy football, i am not sure why people don't get that other people - ie women - also enjoy watching and playing football. Good luck to them. Its a great sport.
Btw the English FA banned women's football from using their grounds from 1921 to 1971. In 1920 one game attracted 50,000 supporters. Talk about being on the wrong side of history. T@ssers.

You can’t but agree with that I.e. they should be able to play if they want. Of course!!
The question is whether it should attract TV / media attention given that the standard is comparatively poor. If DYSS’s post is accurate, then women’s top teams losing to u15s is an indication that maybe it’s not something that should be aired yet. Can’t see it getting any better either.
