Not sure the 'Blackpool' thread counts as a match thread, so have started a bona fide one!

Who knows what the score/team will be.

I'll go for 1-2 I'm sorry to say

Well, we've at least won the 'Most Changes to previous side' beating Blackpool 9-5!

Sylla not even on the bench and little Smyth, although shouldn't be starting in Champ starting 11 must be a bit peed off at not starting this one.

On a personal note, good to see Chair get a start.

With that line up I will go 2-2 and we win on penalties

Only if I get the bonus for Grant Hall starting?

great post

that's potentially today/tomorrow off work, a 50 quid train ride, a ticket and potentially a night at a hotel for your troubles

if youre going to go with a weaker squad, we should have at least stuck on one or two game changers on the bench like a freeman

Pool on pens ! Not sure what we hope to achieve by playing a 2nd string side . It's not like they will all play together at the same time ever ?
So basically we are putting a team out for individuals to prove there worth rather than trying to win a cup game .

Even if we did get through and met a decent team , we would get bummed in the woods deliverance style

I’m not sure it is *that* weak a side.

Scowen and Smith were first teamers last year and Smith top scorer.

Wszolek has started a lot of games on merit too, and has played in a lot of our best performances in the last two years.

Hall was a starter before his injury problems.

Kakay, BOS, and Ingram started the season in the first XI.

Cousins started against Millwall.

Looks like a 4231 to me. Chair behind Smith, two genuine wingers....I actually like the shape and personnel for it. Obviously it’s not the strongest 11 we could field, but at least it’s square pegs square holes.

In not saying it can't /shouldn't beat Blackpool but its clearly not what SMcC thinks is his best team or anything approaching it

I know what you mean, Hunter, but it just feels wrong...the whole thing... - for the fans who have travelled, for a competition that gave us our only major honour to date etc.

Hope I'mm proved wrong tonight - I obviousy just do not get modern football.

I'm just putting this out there, but this isn't our strongest team....... set up to get knocked out.

Scowen being a naughty boy. Yellow card in 20th minute for his 3rd foul.

Kakay joins him on a yellow. His 2nd foul in 22nd minute.
Odds on Ilias Chair is next

They are ahead on possession, attempts, on target.

Scowen well lucky. Should have been sent off then got subbed and kicked a bottle. Oppo not happy. I reckon I have played in front of a bigger crowd than this.

Sh1tty goal to concede too...

Can we go out yet?

Goss on for Scowen. Before the latter gets himself sent off. Don't think he'll be selected for Saturday.

mate thats a weak side, if that team started in a league game they'd get slaughtered. Pissing away another cup competition
