The Official Swansea City Versus Burnley FC Match Preview and Thread on 19:25 - Feb 10 with 3412 views | blaenaugwentjack | Just got back. Stole the words from my mouth, fancy having to watch that crap every week thet Burnley serve up? They must nic the odd win as they are 7th atm. Probably draw most and hope for the odd lucky goal. Why did Olsson get so much stixk off the lot? As for their lot can we have a translator next time they are down here? Great win today, carlos is a maverick. We have to stick with this guy for the long haul. Only gripe is naughton, think roberts is not far from starting before h8m now. Who s going to Sheffield?

I think he is a horrible tw@t. Whinges when free kicks are awarded against his players when they kick opponents up in the air or shoulder charge them into touch. I think he's looking to take over the Pullis mantle - horrible niggly boring team.

They play to their strengths and this is a team definitely punching above its weight and has done so over the decades. Today they were a tough side to break down. Especially in the first half. Once we upped the anti in the second half of the second half there looked like only one winner. Well done to Carlos and the team in a vital and very difficult fixture.

Sean Dyche was the same last season but i think Burnley have lucked out big time this time around. He couldn't argue with the result but i'm sure he will. Remember last season when we beat them 3-2 he was whinging about Llorente climbing all over Ben Mee for the winning goal and said nothing about Sam Vokes trying to punch the goal in the net and the ref then mistakenly give them a pen. We thoroughly deserved to beat them then as we did today. I thought they were poor today, i know they play to their strengths but they just lumped it up to Vokes and Barnes constantly and in fairness it did cause a few issues in the first half but they just kept it up all game with no plan B? Bring on the Seagulls

To be fair, a lot of it is injury related. Heaton, Bardsley, Tarkowski, Dufour, Ward, Brady and Wood would all have been playing today if fit. Having said that, it sounds like we were a bit negative - they kept saying on Radio Lancashire that Swansea weren't very good either!

It’s all good and well sitting back and catching teams on the break (albeit with a bit of luck), but today showed that we have the ability to break the “lesser” teams down.

Yes. They can choose to 'play to their strengths' and they have no obligation to please any opposing teams...but don't be expecting anyone to praise your football if you play that way. In fact, expect the opposite. There is nothing in the rules that says they can't serve up that industrial shite. But no one wants to see it, do they? So since we can't stamp it out via the rules of the game, the best chance we have is to ridicule it. I have a feeling, that somewhere, there is an application on a dating website, by a Mr S. Dyche. And in the 'looking for column', Mr Dyche has put: A hardworking, ugly bird that likes kicking people.

Overall, a comfortable win as expected. The ongoing upward momentum could be the difference in a crucial 6-pointer vs Brighton. TWT but the odds are in our favor.
