I feel long stretches of boredom interrupted by short burst of tedium coming on.
Much preferred to have Bellamy. Much the same qualifications (i.e. none) but totally different characters. Bellamy would be much more entertaining and at least he did turn up for the friendlies. [Post edited 16 Jan 2018 15:32]

If he hasn't got any of those tasks to do, how is it cutting his teeth?
If he at some point in the future is no longer Wales' Manager, he'll be in exactly the same position as of yesterday when it comes to Managing at Club level.... none.
Cutting his teeth would be starting off at lower League level and working his way up.

Well he won't be will he because he'd have managed the national team, picked a squad, picked a starting eleven, managed a campaign or two and either have been successful or failed. He's cut his teeth in all those fields plus tactics, scouting opposition and working the media.

Being at club level you're involved in having to find players that not only suit your needs but fit within a transfer/agent fee/salary budget. That's a huge juggling act to do and doesn't happen at International level. He can just pick one of the world's best players at whim.
