They were livid?? In the lead up to the disallowed goal, our player was fouled in the box first, nothing given. We seemed to stop thinking it was a foul. The ref was absolutely pony.

Now you're going to be a trifle surprised, they fink they wuz robbed.
For the expats, who that nasty Sky company doesn't allow to see its vids. Dunno what Cardiff were expecting, that slime green shirt doesn't do anyone a favour.
Not sure Scowen does touch that. Watched it several times and think the Cardiff player pokes it through.
According to the comms, and maybe PinnerPaul could confirm, the rule's been changed so that even if Scowen does touch it it's still offside. The new rule is that it's the person who last intentionally plays the ball is the important one rather than the one who last touches it.
All this is presuming that Hoillett was offside anyway, which he looked to be on the box?

He may have got the touch but it's definitely not clear. That's not a penalty for me either. What reason does Bidwell have for bringing him down? He just runs after the ball from what I can see.
Thoroughly enjoyed that particularly second half. Great to see us attack in numbers for a change and with pace. Not a bad Christmas all in all. I'm going to stick my neck out and say I don't think we're anything near a relegation side myself. Yeah when we're bad, we're bad but when we're good we're alright.

Please. Let's not rip this all up.

never a penalty, if that was a pen could have given about 5 pens to us
Wasn't impressed with them either but I think that we stopped them in a lot of ways. I thought their only threat was set pieces and that we handled them well considering the height difference - somebody's doing good work on our set-pieces on the training ground e.g. picking and positioning of smith for attacking and defensive set pieces.
I thought our midfield overran theirs, forcing them to go to three centre-backs and three centre-mids and even then we dominated them and I thought our defence easily blanked out their unremarkable forwards with their only chances in open play coming from technical slips by us.

I thought Hoilett played quite well but glad he's not with us anymore. Wasn't overly impressed with Cardiff at all although I understand they have a number of players out.

He always reminded me of a couple of my employees, look good running about a lot but produce very little.
