Is it a back 4 or 5? Is Mackie up top on his own, with someone, or in a front 3? If it's 433 or 352, who is joining Freeman and Scowen in the middle? If 442, who's playing on the wings? We have two right wingers. Where will Yeni play? Will he touch the ball?
Lots of questions.
Good luck to us, I say. We will need it.
Fair play to Robinson for being made skipper. Rightly leapfrogged Lynch and Bidwell in the pecking order, in my book.

Look on the bright side. If none of us who watch this mob week in week out have a clue about that line up, at least Derby won't know what they're faced with.
Please for Robinson to be made captain btw.

There I see certainly an element of this. But I'm more concerned our XI themselves won't know what they're meant to do, where they're meant to be, and the same for what their teammates are up to!

I'd suggest a 3-5-2 with Wszolek and Bidwell as "wing backs", Ngbakoto filling in for Luongo and Wheeler up front with Mackie, but I wouldn't put any money on it.

That is how I would interpret it as well.

I'm going 4 5 1 and consider it a wise move with the big pitch. Obviously a guess from me but hoping for Mackie to help keep it tight for first hour by allowing a higher press, we just can't sit deep defensively but i would think pressing high with a narrow back 3 would be suicide so wider back 4 and press high is the way to go. 1-2 to the R's......

No point playing a 'hold up' striker up front on their own.
Not sure its going to work but this looks more like a 3 -5 - 1 -1
I was thinking more that if we're going to have that many wingers on the pitch then someone needs to get on the end of all the crosses into the box, and I would have thought Smith or Sylla would be better in that role.

Fair point.
Ollie did say after Villa and before tonight, that we were going to try something different away from home - this is clearly it!
Hope the difference is also a win, but I'm not hopeful - like most on here tonight it seems
