I actually felt calmer watching us play that out than I have done for ages. Granted I'm somewhat fortified by some of Home Bargain's finest ales, but we look a lot better organized and able to see games out these days.

Showed some real grit to see this one through. After these two wins I'm now fairly certain we won't go down!

The team really worked hard tonight. For all the nerves at 1-0 Sheff Utd gave the ball away loads with silly passes and Smithies wasn't really tested. Great 4 days. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Match thread v Blades on 22:09 - Oct 31 with 1923 views | danehoop | Holloway has shown that in this division QPR have nothing to fear except themselves when it comes to playing at home. If they can get some results away from home that we have probably been due on some of the performances this season, we could just sneak a run into the play offs. This season nothing would surprise me. Special mention for Sylla tonight who really did everything to cause problems to their defence. For a team apparently lacking a top striker, this bloke who appears to be at times constructed entirely of ankle and elbow joints, has a remarkably impressive and consistent strike rate.
| Never knowingly understood |

Match thread v Blades on 22:13 - Oct 31 with 1844 views | CiderwithRsie | So: mini-crisis averted, top half of table, two points off play-offs, clean sheet, Sylla starting regularly and scoring, axis of evil still doing the business, Cousins fit and Wheeler getting into side, Baptiste a bit of a revelation. No penalties or red cards conceded despite presence of Mr Stroud. Scope for improvement if injury crisis starts to recede. All good stuff. Of course November starts tomorrow which means we'll be lucky to get any points at all but stuff it I'm going to enjoy the moment.

3 in 4 since he came back, isn't it? They may be tap in's, but you still have to be there, and be there first.

For a team with no goal scorers he's doing a grand job! Ollie quite probably should have been picking him earlier but hopefully later in the season, with hindsight, we can say that it was good management and he made really work to get the regular position..... Ok I know we wont

Well, Ollie seems to have wanted Sylla to work harder if he was to be a starter, and it appears that Sylla wanted it enough to do what was asked...........
Match thread v Blades on 22:48 - Oct 31 with 1573 views | BlackCrowe | Just back. Again a deserved win. got that team works hard and again that midfield trio is a joy to behold. Special mentions to our Sylla who is growing in confidence and swagger by the game and Juan the Baptiste (stolen from other thread) who is reading the game so well at the moment. Won't start another match thread though, quit while i'm a ahead.

Cheers mate, not just saying this cos we won (derservedly IMO) but have always liked Blades and their support, proper club. Under Wilder you'll be more than fine. Didn't get why Sharp was on the bench though. Brooks looks about 13 and very very good.

he has rotated the front 3 or 4 quite a lot, just sharp's turn tonight i guess, and yeah brooks is going to be some player, funnily enough though that's by far his worst game this season so far
