QPR Internet Package Thingy 09:25 - Aug 2 with 9960 viewsPlanetHonneywood

Based on the pre-season friendly package, I'd be interested to hear what folks think about it.

Alas, due to these infernal 3pm and 5pm kick offs favoured outside the Prem, midweek games and the likes, I am already going to miss a lot. Throw in less than reliable Myanmar internet connection, electrical supply and guerilla insurgencies, I might miss some more.

Plus, did I read that Tony Incenzo is the commentator? If so, poke it, no way I am getting up at 1:15am to listen to that bloke yawn on.

These issues aside, what did folks think?

In advance, cheers.

You have to be abroad, can't watch in the UK. It's £115 for all the games home and away. Don't know about the iPhone thing, haven't got one, but I was watching OK on my Mac. But it has now packed up a few minutes ago, typically. Abysmal, not that I'm surprised. Think I'll be asking for my money back.

Cheers jonno.

Anyone in the excluded zone of Britain or Ireland get it to work yet?

Brian, based on what jonno says, and I think from the offy says, I think Ireland is not an excluded zone.

It is, I'm pretty sure?

I think it's because of Sky's contract with the Football League.

Hmm, not clear.

Took this from the article on the Offy before the Sheff Wed game

"Available on iOS Apple devices and Android, the R’s official app brings together access to QPR+ for our new live match streams for international supporters and also the ability to listen to live audio commentary for fans in the UK, Ireland and the rest of the world with a valid QPR+ Pass subscription."

So not obvious whether you are an international supporter or not!

I signed on for the season pass for audio for £45., which is working now.

I have Bradley Allen on co-comms. Is that the same comms as on the video stream?

....soon!

BTW - there has been a huge black cloud over Castlelyons since Sunday afternoon, total devastation despite the fact that really Cork were overacheiveing this year. Future looks good again.

My Mrs went over to Dublin to watch her Godson in his first All Ireland Sem at Croke Parki. Wasn't his best game, but he kept his man quiet resulting in very little scores and he has done really well to recover from his ACL and get back and make the corner back position his this campaign. Onwards and upwards, just have to hope that the Cats stay in the doldrums for a couple of years so I have no conflict of interest each Sept!!

Don't know, I'm not signing up toanything to listen to radio comms. Not even for free. It always sounds like we're camped in our six yard box and I end up a nervous wreck.

Not sure what you're expecting for only 45 quid for the whole season. Goals galore and handsome victories?!

I paid a fiver today, exactly 2 minutes before kick-off and was up and running in time for the kick off, which was a relief. The quality was reasonable in the first half with few glitches, second half, much like the performance was much more jittery and video stopped and showed some error messages at some points, and was far from perfect.. it's still like a dodgy stream quality to be honest - albeit a good one, but nothing like getting the game on the box in HD on EPSN..

Right, going to have a go at getting the live stream for tomorrow.

Am I being thick, or is there no link for purchasing this available yet?

There's this page https://www.qpr.co.uk/news/club-news/watch-hull-city-match-live-for-5/ which says:

To purchase a matchday pass for £5 please click HERE and scroll down to the bottom of the page.

Which links to here: https://www.qpr.co.uk/qprpluspass

At the bottom it says:

MATCH PASS

Live streams won't be available on mobile or tablet devices via a browser but can be viewed via the QPR App, which is available on iOS and Android via the Apple Store and Google Play Store respectively.

But no link for purchasing a match pass.

The stream and commentary were both fine today. I suspect the difference in quality between home games and away may continue throughout the season.
