Have the Americans spent any money? 12:29 - Jul 23 with 12250 views | deanscfc | Last season, if i remember correctly, we were the only team to make a net profit on transfers with the Americans refusing to put their hand in their pockets. As a result we struggled and would have gone down were it not for a couple of key players. If rumors are anything to go by it now seems that we may be willing to sell those key players for a price so that yet again the Americans can make a nice little profit and the expense of the club and the fans. Last year they will have had a scare but in the end were able to make a nice return on their investment with some of the sky money. I can't help thinking that unless we both keep our key players AND spend in key areas that the Americans are starting to take the p*ss...

No they're not, they are the majority share holders, basically, the owners of Swansea City FC. Sometimes after people buy a new business, they invest money into that company in order to improve it, or in Huw speak to take it to "The next level" In our case they haven't invested into the business, and IMO never will.

Sometimes after people buy a new business they stabilise it at the level it is trading at (PL) which our owners have done.

They haven't yet. Clearing out the deadwood and putting huge prices on our prize assets is one thing. They will need to improve the squad fairly significantly to stabilise us at PL level.

If we sell our key players - Glyfi, Llorente and Mawson then we will still have enough in the squad to stay up. Finishing 17th is a financial success.

I very much doubt that's what they are thinking. We went down a similar route this time last year and it very nearly cost them. I can't see them taking that chance again.

Yeah! they really did stabilised things, they did it so well, we were a gnats foreskin away from being relegated.
