But a photo half a second later would give a different story

Half a second later he clears it from the line of course it would tell a different story😳 This thread should be straws clutching

Maybe, but the ball would have to end up exactly where Rafferty's foot is on that photo to be fully over the line would it not? Which would only be possible if his leg was moving backwards... And I would assume it's moving forwards to clear the ball. Of course, it's hard to say what's going on before or after the image.

As I mentioned earlier - without goaltech it's impossible to be 100% sure - but there isn't any photo or footage yet showing the ball over the line clearly. There have been loads of instances so far in the Prem this season where the ball has been over the line except for maybe 1cm of the ball - and it's been not given.

How is it possible to tell from that angle?!

All that is certain is that it's really poor defending from Canavan initially.

The Football People would be asking for a re-match.

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

Not much point debating as it's history now. Bit of a downer but hopefully we get a result on Saturday

There's bound to be debate - that's football. They've been debating Geoff Hursts 'goal' in 66 for over 50 years! Incidentally Roger Hunt was a special guest last night at Bolton - it was a sign!

So, Bolton still won't have it next season then if it only involves Championship clubs.....
