Mad chicken farmers Match thread! 12:31 - Feb 3 with 17580 views | connell10 | Thought id start a early one , well if we play like we did against Burton then we will lose 2-1 but if we play like we did against the Toon then i reckon a 2-0 win, so im going for a Desmond 2-2.

I was wondering how his games/points relates to JFH Not worth getting a great point at Newcastle if you've got it wrong at home v burton [Post edited 4 Feb 2017 17:54]

True but I'm not sure you can blame him today, will wait for those that were there to comment but from the stats it was more down to missed chances and the wrongly disallowed goal.

Some people need to get a grip. A defeat to a bottom 6 side will always close the gap. Today was horrible after we were (according to Sky Sports) 1-0 up for 15 minutes, but we have the makings of a very good team - and without doubt a team that wears the shirt with pride. Criticism of Holloway is ludicrous - maybe some of our fans would prefer to support Arsenal and moan about the lack of league titles? One unlucky defeat does not a winter make (however gutted we were when we conceded in injury time) and let's not forget that even in the best seasons we were still, by and large, rubbish away from home. Onwards and upwards!!!

'One unlucky defeat does not a winter make' Indeed, but tossing away multiple games against relegation threatened teams has a big impact. If 'some people need to get a grip', perhaps some need to wake up and smell the coffee [Post edited 4 Feb 2017 19:05]

Or what, literally nothing we as fans can do about it now. We're better to watch than we were, and seem to actually be giving it our all. If waking up and smelling the coffee involves virtually slitting my wrists after every game we don't win (especially those where it would appear to have been a robbery), I'd rather not thanks.

How on earth do you get from 'waking up and smelling the coffee' to virtually slitting your wrists?

Nine point gap now six! Same gamble at home to Wolves, down to 10 men, we went for it and lost. Failed to learn from the experience.
