Match Thread - Dirty Leeds 08:41 - Aug 7 with 19226 views | davman | Never started on over all these years and just getting ready to come to down with the boy. I refuse to be optimistic as QPR has disappointed me so regularly over the years and I am not too hopeful this season. I think an early lead turned over by a late undeserved Leeds equaliser. 1-1 with Chery scoring.

Since 2010. 4-0 Barnsley. A nice tidy win to start the campaign. Great 3rd goal by Polter.

Match Thread - Dirty Leeds on 14:03 - Aug 7 with 2429 views | aston_hoop | Wow, we were fit and ready for the whole 90 minutes and took Leeds apart. Luongo looks like a different player from the end of last season. I like him a lot but he was anonymous for large chunks last year. Today he went in for every tackle and chased every ball. And won most of them too. Superb. Shodipo looks a good prospect and I hope he gets plenty more chances. The defence were solid, Bidwell looks very steady...Leeds looked bloody awful though!

Well done to Jimmy and the team. Fittest we have looked for a long long time. Could be exciting to watch some of the skilful players we have in our team - young and hungry. Leeds looked a rabble apart from at the start of the second half and the last 10 minutes. Most of our team played very well apart from Gladwin who looked the weak link and probably should have been sent off. Based on this and hopefully a couple of late additions to the squad we look like we should have a reasonable season - not getting carried away yet as Leeds looked poor. I hope it was our good performance Jimmy set us up well as they generally could not get past our midfield

I think a combo of both points. They look properly gash, but have spent money and retained most of the prominent players from last year but were shit. We continued on from last week and look a committed and organised unit. I'm opting to play it Ranieri style, only 37 more points to safety!
Match Thread - Dirty Leeds on 18:10 - Aug 7 with 1319 views | DannytheR | A lifetime of bitter experience teaches you not to get carried away, but... That was very good. There's a sturdiness to us at the back which we all expected, but also punch, speed and invention in the middle and up front. In fact, we looked pretty much exactly like the sort of tight, quick, resilient teams that turned us over for much of last season. Deserved plaudits for the back four and Smithies - but in particular as someone who has always moaned about Onuoha playing RB, he was great there today. Played like some nippy, nasty little full back rather than a musclebound centre half out of position. I don't know what they've been sprinking on Luongo's cornflakes, but seeing him today was like seeing the weedy kid in your class come back after the holidays having had a massive growth spurt and grown a full beard. He was tireless, aggressive, and physically twice as big as last season. Chery is a joy to watch sometime. Such a deft, smart player, but with a real team ethic too. I'm already getting tearful at the prospect of him getting bought to go and sit on Southampton's bench in January. And if you don't love Polter, you have no soul, brother. The reckless part of me thinks we might just do something this season. And even if we don't, I'd forgotten what it was like to feel that proud of the team. The really nice thing is that if this is the squad now, there's going to be real competition for places. If Caulker stays, it would be very, very harsh to drop either him or Hall for Lynch on today's evidence. Most of us will have assumed that Borysiuk and Cousins were first choice in centre midfield, but Luongo and, yes, credit where it's due, Henry too were everything you'd want in the middle of the park today. My clapping is happy tonight. PS I almost feel sorry for Robert Green. Almost.
Match Thread - Dirty Leeds on 18:21 - Aug 7 with 1284 views | vegasranger | Just watched the game. Excellent performance and scoreline!! Henry and Luongo were superb. Defence looked good, good movement going forward. Lots to build on. Shodipo looks very promising but sadly Gladwin was out of his depth. Could have got sent off, didn't really offer anything going forward and didn't help much on the defensive side of things. Couple of more quality signings and we could be a real threat. How good was Caulker by the way?!!
