Transfer Thread on 23:57 - Jul 30 by dobjack2 | Well West Ham have allegedly met our price for ayew and if you were gylfi would you be looking to sign a new contract or get on the next stage out of town? As I said in my rant vickers has gone on loan but that still leaves 4 keepers. Somebody's got to go. And this may also be the window that Taylor packs his bags. |
If one of our keepers goes it'll be Tremmel, surely. He's 38 in November and we released him at the end of the 2014/15 season - only came back to us because he couldn't find another club

He had his head turned by Sunderland for god sakes. Players like Gylfi you can see they love the club Andre im afraid does't and only signed on here for the package we gave him. Remember he ejected West Ham last summer and now he is on the verge of going there...

Whether he wants to go or not we should be getting a shitload more than £20m.
| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

But like others have said if the money doesnt go back into the club what does it matter could be 50 mil and not make a jot of difference.

Transfer Thread on 17:24 - Jul 31 with 3232 views | majorraglan | Was told today that we were interested in Joe Allen and prepared to match the wages he was receiving at Liverpool in order to bring him back, however Stoke were offering a lot more and apparently happy to pay him an extra 20k per week! You're right it doesn't but you'd expect the venture capitalists to drive a harder bargain than that.

Every PL player will be after a £20k a week bump at next contract renewal. They know clubs can easily afford it.

So he rejected a move to West ham last year as we gave him a better contract than them, yet now, West Ham will give him a better contract and us 20 million on top of it? does not look right to me.

Maybe they now think he's a better player than they thought he was this time last year having seen him in action for a whole league season. Makes far more sense than ManU spending £100m on a player they gave away for nothing a few seasons back.

It may be the MLS but that shouldn't define a player. If he's good enough then he's good enough. The MLS is not a strong league, but I was at the Toronto v Columbus Crew game last night & he scored 2 out of nothing & was head & shoulders above every other player. He is tiny & won't win any aerial battles but he plays off the last defender & was very fast & technically gifted.

Wiki says: Sebastian Giovinco (Italian pronunciation: [seˈbastjan dʒoˈviŋko]; born 26 January 1987) is an Italian professional footballer who plays for Canadian club Toronto FC, and the Italian national team as a forward. An explosive and creative player on the ball, with excellent vision and technical skill, he is a free-kick specialist and capable of playing in several offensive positions.[2] Due to his short stature, dynamic abilities and pace, Giovinco acquired the nickname formica atomica ("atomic ant," after the eponymous Hanna-Barbera character) during his time with Italian club Juventus, as well as during his stints on loan with Italian clubs Empoli and Parma;[3][4] with Juventus, he won two Serie A titles.[4] After moving to Toronto FC in 2015, he broke the league's record for most combined goals and assists in a season during his first year with the club, also helping Toronto to qualify for the MLS Cup Playoffs for the first time in the club's history, and winning himself the MLS Golden Boot, the MLS Newcomer of the Year Award, and the MLS MVP Award. The following season, he won the 2016 Canadian Championship with Toronto, and became the club's all-time top goalscorer. At international level, Giovinco has represented Italy at the 2008 Summer Olympics, UEFA Euro 2012; winning a runners-up medal, and at the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup; winning a bronze medal.[4] In 2015, he was named one of the 100 best footballers in the world by The Guardian,[5] FourFourTwo,[6] and L'Équipe.[7] [Post edited 1 Aug 2016 20:15]
