We were just the better side v a team that's gone up. That's a start.
buRnleY matCh THreAd on 19:00 - May 2 with 1981 views | bosh67 | Not quite sure how we lost that one but never mind. We have to be far more ruthless next season in front of goal. That performance and Charlie Austin would have put Burnley to the sword today but Dyche is a very shrewd manager and they held out against us today. Better from us than I was expecting.

Well let's hope that if he decides not to play Polter that he changes the style of play to suit the players he picks. This is where he worries me, he takes Polter off and yet we continue knocking long balls to, at various times, Washington, El Khayati, Phillips, Petrasso. Mind numbingly stupid. Either he's not seeing it or not getting the message across, worrying either way.

buRnleY matCh THreAd on 19:06 - May 2 with 1868 views | YorkRanger | Nothing to moan about today. Decent performance in a nothing game an the young lads did well. Get next week out of the way, quick holiday and then start working out next season. The club is in much better shape than this time last year, although I think people need to be prepared for a couple more seasons in the Championship...
buRnleY matCh THreAd on 19:07 - May 2 with 1866 views | actonman | Well from the little I saw of the game, we did better than I expected. Of course that means sh!t cos as usual we do enough to make sure of the predicted result !! Next year or five years , same qpr Ho hum, onwards to Bristol and get this waste of a season finished !!

Me too mate. I thought we were the better team by some margin. However, I have to say I have seen them a few times this season and other than fitness and a game based on route one they are not actually very good. Amazing run they have been on. I can definitely see them becoming a yo-yo team. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
buRnleY matCh THreAd on 19:11 - May 2 with 1815 views | Lblock | Mildly pleased with the performance. Very pleased with Pet-rass-so. Can JCH get Washington and Polts playing together? Will we get some leaders and attitude in over the summer? How long till Grant Hall get's his form back? Will we off-load Phillips and get someone equally as okay going forward but infinitely better at defending and less of a pussy? Are we going to arrive in August fit and spirited? These questions and more to lighten up your summer folks. Stay tuned. Well played today boys

buRnleY matCh THreAd on 19:17 - May 2 with 1758 views | DannytheR | I'm not looking for a return to the Premiership anytime soon, I'd sooner have my club back at least a bit like the way it used to be. BUT put a midfield in that team, add a reliable goalscorer and give it some leadership other than the 85 year old Clint Hill, and I don't think it would be far from promotion.
buRnleY matCh THreAd on 19:21 - May 2 with 1733 views | daveB | I thought Kpekawa had a decent game, was quite impressed with him. We played well overall but was inevitable they'd nick one in the end. Good Luck to Burnley they deserve to go up.

Imperative to make Loftus Road a fortress. Any of the players who buy their kids lego should be first on the team sheet.
buRnleY matCh THreAd on 19:26 - May 2 with 1684 views | terryb | I have no problem with our performance today apart from Phillips staying on fort the full ninety. Yes, we made a few mistakes, but we were the better side. I believe that we are in a far better position than we were twelve months ago. A bit more creativity would be nice though!

buRnleY matCh THreAd on 19:55 - May 2 with 1507 views | derbyhoop | Decent performance but yet another defeat away from home. Nice to see Kpekawa and petrasso getting starts , It will do them good and they will be valuable squad members next season. We're still short in too many areas to mount a serious challenge next season - unless there is some seriously good transfer dealing over the summer. Didn't think we offered much once we went behind.

I can see hill getting another year. Brings so much to the back 4 even now can do a good job. Think Henry will be an interesting one. Does a good job in JFH side, not easy to replace cheaply. Faurlin is the interesting one. May well be worth another gamble as he tends to bring balance when he plays, and if he is allowed to can dictate play and open other teams up with his passing. The rest? Nah, I think you have the right of it, none look to have much to offer. Angela might be a surprise retention, but don't think he has done enough, and his lack of games recently indicates that JFH probably doesn't rate him enough.

We were comfortably the better side I thought. Credit where it's due at least. [Post edited 3 May 2016 7:42]

buRnleY matCh THreAd on 13:51 - May 3 with 1069 views | Juzzie | I thought we were the better side, just. One very good free kick (the one time Barton didn't take it!) undone us. shots: 11 against their 7 on target: 6 against their 2 (the other probably their disallowed one!) corners: 5 against their 3 We seemed to get it right defensively with Henry acting as extra cover in front of Hill and Hall and using Phillips (sic), Hoilett and Petrasso to spring on the counter-attack. We really needed two upfront but I think even Moss might have noticed if we had 11 outfield players. I think had Austin been playing we might have got something out of the game as Polter, however good he's been 2nd half of the season, isn't at that level yet.

Isn't the sign of a good side to play within themselves but still get a result?
