Can't remember if this is my first, but two of us going up tomorrow, bit of pre-match nosh in the Trent Bridge Inn, which although a Weatherspoons now, on the last visit a couple of weeks ago, was serving some fantastic ales at less than £3 a pint. Like everyone else that has watched QPR at the City Ground have only seen us draw or lose, and dare I say the last evening game there was the 5-0 drubbing, left at 75 minutes that night. Still always a first time for a win, they aren't up to much, very much a sit back and hit on the break type of team so if we can get our noses in front then I reckon we can do it at last. 2-0 to the R's with the BFG and Hoilett scoring!

"Jimmy has turned us into a boring no idea how to attack pub team"

Isn't that what the Burton fan told Clive in his interview, at the time we signed him? He said JFH preferred defence to attack and wouldn't take risks to score goals.

And JFH gave a very good interview, you know.

Maybe JFH should have a word with C Mob, I have it on good authority that they know how to attack a pub...or two.

Poll: Thank God The Seaons Over.

QPR
17 attps 4 on target...1 win in 11. Rambo's record looking good?

Forest 14 attps ...5 on target...
Was that all in the 10 min spell?..This a side missing their best players too

Anyway it is what it is....I just find QPR boring at the moment.

You can rubbish JFH all you like compared to Ramsey because as far as I'm concerned that's just a little bit of needle for all the Ramsey Out-ers to suffer for their premature ejections.

But I don't care how badly Jimmy is going (and he really isn't going that badly). He is here for this entire season come hell, high-water or even relegation. He was the best that the credible selection process produced and I am sick to death of the lack of commitment of this club and it's fickle fans. We are going to do what is necessary to get this club right.

If you want some excitement, learn to appreciate how difficult that task is going to be.

We'd taken 7pts from 4 games, 3 clean sheets and players that you slate regularly, showing an interest and up for it.
Does no one want to talk about JFH's record compared with Rambo's ?
He got pushed out for these results, and performances.....Just sayin.
As i have posted a point at Forest is good, but more so because we have never won there.
It's colouring fans judgement

Results were great under Warnock but performances were still pretty poor and we had no attacking idea under him creating next to nothing in any of his games, to say Hasselbaink has turned that team into one that can't attack is laughable.

I think we look better now and are improving, yes we're not winning every week but we're not losing many either. JFH two defeats came in the last minute so overall I think he is doing ok and last night was a decent result against a side bang in form at the moment

I'll go with what I just witnessed in the flesh rather than the stats thanks.

Was it a good game ? Not really.

Did either side look that threatening ? No.

Did Forest offer much outside that 10 min spell? Absolutely not .

Yeah fair point ngb....

Haggis and neeps pie? Sounds good. In Orkney we always have haggis with 'clapshot' which is tatties and neeps boiled together with salt and pepper then mashed with milk and butter, whenever have haggis in mainland Scotland seems to be the tatties and neeps are served unmixed. Did you get tatties with your pie?

RangersDave bush reference was non Shepherd's related....

It was excellent. Tatties, peas and gravy with one of the best pies I have eaten in a long time. It is a real shame we dont have a pub like the Stratford Haven near the Bush. Not over crowded, mixed support, great food and 14 real ales. harvest Ale is great. Been there last two times to Forest and looking forward to next years trip already

This!

Never quite certain what people class as entertainment but the fans that travelled all seemed happy afterwards and felt it was a good game to watch. Not the best but miles better than what we saw under NW and some of our other recent games. Definitely improving

How many farthings (beep! beep! Ive started so I'll finish ...) did a bag of spangles cost the last time QPR progressed past the 4th Round of the Football Association Cup?

Froggat, on BBC London commentary, made the point that Ramsey's record was better than JFH. That's not to say we were wrong to replace the former with the latter.
Good point at a ground where we never win, against a side in great form.

We sound as if we're well organised, but the balance is not quite right. For all his consistency, Konch is increasingly uncomfortable against a winger with pace. A midfield with Luongo, Fer and Phillips is never going to defend that well. That's why Hoillett is back in the side. He does track back. It's also why Henry gets so many games. Expecting Faurlin to do 90% of the defensive side is unreasonable. And we have to find way of getting Washington and the BFG to gel.

Things are going in the right direction, but we're not there yet. 2 home games on the trot after a 10 day gap needs to yield 4-6 points and the moaning may go down to a trickle.
