4 managers in a season? on 10:12 - Jan 10 by nightwish | If we did get rid of Hasslebaink with Les Ferdinand in charge you just know our next manager would be Chris Powell |
That would be a bit dull. I hope Les really knocks it out of the park next time and goes for Andi Peters or Kenny Lynch.
4 managers in a season? on 10:28 - Jan 10 with 1403 views | baz_qpr | Our problem is not the manger, its that we spent all the budget to cover positions we don't need and none of it on the main positions that we do need. Its been the same for three seasons, Austin plays we have a greater chance of a result, he does not play and we barely look like getting one.

4 managers in a season? on 23:27 - Jan 9 by WeaverQPR | No manager has failed at Burton in 10 years. Jimmy has no track record in salvaging clubs on the brink of implosion. |
Apart from Peschisolido and Roy McFarlane.
4 managers in a season? on 10:44 - Jan 10 with 1368 views | BAWHoops | We have had the perfect manager the last 4 times we have hired someone for what we want to do. Establish ourselves as a mid table PL club - Hughes. The man has a track record for doing exactly that at Blackburn, Fulham and Stoke Stave off relegation - Redknapp. Kept Pompey up, turned Spurs around and did well at West Ham. Southampton a blot on his record, but he was everything we supposedly needed when we hired him. Focus on kids and rebuild a club - Ramsey. Controversial, but his standing in the game is high as is the way players speak about him. He was low key, supposedly just like the 'new' QPR. Was hired with the remit of keeping us up and staying mid table, which he was doing. Challenge towards the top of the Championship - JFH. Had won promotion with Burton and was sitting top of the league below. Regarded as one of the brightest young managers in the game. A respected playing career and success as a manager. Ticked all the boxes. What I'm saying is IT ISN'T ABOUT THE SODDING MANAGER. Warnock, Ainsworth, Derry, Clement will all fail at our club because of the 4 years of festering that has gone on previously. Accept what is going to happen in the next few years, we are going to be awful, we may very well get relegated again, but unless we actually stick to ONE GOD DAMN PLAN then we are destined to keep chucking money away and crippling our club. Stay patient for God's sake. We are not going up, we never have been this season. Neil Warnock is in his 60's, his wife is in poor health and he doesn't want a full time management job. Back the manager FFS

4 managers in a season? on 22:14 - Jan 9 by HollowayRanger | why oh why are we such a mess we have not been sane since the Thompson era wright spend spend spend admin abc loan paladini dodgy iffy guns 1 hour from bust briatore power mad botuque football 4 year plan tony f sack spend sack spend relegation promotion sack relegation sack ......... |
The worse thing for me about the Thompson era was how the fans hounded them out and made it unpleasant to attend matches, when they were trying to run the club within its means. Perhaps now we are suffering for that and some fans hounded out Ramsey who was doing the job he was supposed to until the owner's changed his remit to something nobody could achieve with the squad we have. If not for the owner's ill advised change, I think Ramsey would have continued development of the team and we would be comfortably mid table now and the season would not be the current write-off with the danger of relegation. I'm disappointed with the owner's LF and many of the fans who don't seem to realise success takes time, continuity and the bottle to stick with the right plan once it's established and when you finish a season rock bottom of the premiership due to serious problems with the squad, facilities and so many other things, it's unrealistic to expect to get immediate results leading to a return to the top.

yeah of course he only hires black people like Perry Suckling, NeiL Warnock, David Oldfield etc. I hate the club we've become where hiring black people is now being used as a stick to beat people with. It doesn't matter what colour they are, Lee Hoos was heavily involved in appointing Hasselbaink as well and of the people who wanted the job he looked one of the best candidates | | | | Login to get fewer ads
4 managers in a season? on 12:08 - Jan 10 with 1280 views | daveB | quarter of a billion spent in 4 years and not a penny gone into infrastructure. No money put into the academy ever really, it had next to no funding in the 80's and is the same now. Limited number of scouts to look at the opposition for the first team and players for the first team and none at all for younger levels just hoping we'll find a gem by magic. No money put into coaching at youth level either just all thrown at big name players and managers. ferdinand tries to change this and actually does change it and what do we do, moan at him and want him gone because he's hired a few black people
4 managers in a season? on 12:28 - Jan 10 with 1244 views | Hadders | Hiring two black managers in a row just makes the elementary point that you don`t judge a person by skin colour. We never said after sacking Hughes, say - "Right, white managers are obviously a mistake. We have had white managers literally forever, and look where they have got us!" Some people, it seems, feel we should have judged all potential black managers by the performance of Chris Ramsay. "We tried a black man, look how that turned out. Never again!" Hasselbaink isn`t the Messiah, but give the bloke time, FFS! Some people are so short-sighted and quick to anger- you wonder what they are like in civilian clothes. The absurd thing is, scrape a couple of wins in our next two games and get Charlie back till the tend of the season, and people would be looking up the table again. I love going to Rangers but really wish the aggressive moaners would lighten up a little. The bile directed at the likes of Ramsay, Henry and Fer is this season has been really trying and unpleasant. It`s a team game, and I imagine all the other players must hate it too, if they notice. Do people think Faurlin (for example) is encouraged by hearing QPR fans screaming abuse at his team mates?
