Anyone watching?

Predictions? I'm going with 2-1 to Real, unfortunately.

With Mascherano gone off injured you may be on to something.

2-0.

Ramos at fault for Barca's first. None of the Real backs showed any urgency for the second.

In the other half Alves is diving everywhere as per normal, Pique looks class as usual but is good for a switch-off moment or two and Alba is good as per usual. Mascherano, though is both the glue and the bite in that backline and if Real ever wake up they will get chances.

Barca look streets ahead so far but are your 2-2 is still definitely on if Real cop on.

Listening on Radio 5. Barca up 3-0 and bringing on a sub... Messi.

Barca are playing well but it's hard tom describe just how poor Real are. This is manager-changing type of bad.

Maybe it was just me, but when Barcelona beat Man United at Wembley in 2011, I thought it was an almost unique moment, where everyone who liked football had to admit they were the finest team in the world, and perhaps the finest ever. It was breathtaking art, truly beautiful.

Real look unfit, disorganised and the defending shambolic. Ronaldo's hardly had a kick and it should be 7 or 8. Taxi for Rafa

Wish I could be like David Watts

Me too. I've always had a soft spot for the club, though not so much since they signed Suarez and got kit sponsorship, but they put in four or five performances in the Guardiola years that were all amongst the very best that I've ever been lucky enough to see.

Tonight was enjoyable but not on that level or even close.

I'm not old enough to remember the 1970 Brasil side, or Cruyff's Holland but that Barca side is the most complete side of my lifetime.

I'm 45 so I don't remember either of them either but Barca are a machine, a beautiful machine. That's their first Classico since the imperious Xavi departed the stage, no Messi either, and they still, still, play the same way. Pressure, intensity, pass, pass, pass. So positive, so aggressive and so beautiful.

They lost their mojo for a year or so under Martino but they seem to have rediscovered it.

But, my God, when Iniesta retires he'll be sorely missed by all who love the sport.

Got to agree Baz

That Barca team that destroyed Utd at Wembley a few years back is the best team I've ever seen

They were superb. Really superb. A few great players and some very good players thrown in. But awesome rather than beautiful, I thought. That game, for instance, will always be memorable for Desailly's colossal re-imagining of the anchor-man role. What was just as awesome is tat the Dutch legends had gone by then and that Baresi was injured and Costacurta suspended. and yet they won 4-0. Incredible game.

Obviously no comparison, but it always feels great when strangers find out you support QPR and talk about the '76 team in those tones.

El Clasico? El Clasic*nt more like. Basically the Old Firm but with more Spanish ponces. I'd rather watch 90 minutes of tramps punching me in the retinas.

Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. He runs like a cheetah, his crosses couldn't be sweeter. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore.

Put it in a wire cage and people would pay to watch it.
