tomorrow can't come quick enough 14:17 - Oct 16 with 2424833 views | batman | Not for us, but for Bury. i was credit checking a potential customer and decided to nosey onto BFC's file and was (or maybe not) supprised to see a new CCJ for circa £22k lodged only Wednesday this week. looks like they are in need of a bumper crowd tomorrow to settle some bills

tomorrow can't come quick enough on 20:01 - Oct 22 with 3154 views | Sandyman | Wonder who'll be paying the outstanding debts on the CVA that is still live? What of those pesky car parking spaces? Wasn't there something about not being able to use the name "bury fc" for several years? What unsafe state will the ground be in after over two years of neglect? There will be many many things that need sorting out. For the BBC to state "bury saved" on their local news broadcast is as incorrect, at this point, as Simon Stone's pulled article on RAFC was last week.

Frustratingly because of the 'football creditors' rule, its likely there won't be anything left for local businesses or the 'non-football' staff who were on the books. The management, players, backroom staff will get paid in full, followed by agents, followed by other clubs they may owe money to. Whatever is left will be paid proportionally in the pound to everyone else - including HMRC, local businesses, handy men, office staff etc.

They are arguing amongst themselves on the comments section of the article, they really are special human beings! Would not surprise me to see some of the dodgy lot we had knocking about being involved. No efl rules for a team that does not exist but still the asset. Arsehole may well apply for the CEO role stating he has been a fan of bURY for years. They really are the gift that will never cease giving them lot!

tomorrow can't come quick enough on 21:33 - Oct 22 with 3005 views | EllDale | The same paper had run a story on Wednesday that the fledgling AFC Bury were looking at developing the town’s athletics track as a new permanent home. This makes me think that they aren’t the people purchasing Gigg Lane. But for stories connecting Salford City to the AJ Bell Stadium I’d have Gary Neville in the frame for buying Gigg given the family connections Of course whoever is buying the ground doesn’t necessarily have to maintain it in it’s current state. Cue bulldozers? Where’s Joy Hart and her handcuffs?

It seems to be a fan group called Est 1885 who are buying the ground and the rights to the Bury FC name. Its mildly frustrating how much press coverage they are getting essentially for a simple 'exclusive purchasing period'... if the press spent 10% of that effort on supporting clubs to protect them rather than save them when it goes boobies up they could make a genuine difference to football in the UK. No real ill feeling towards the bury fans though to be fair - there but for the grace of god (& the brilliant work of the trust and the club) go we.

tomorrow can't come quick enough on 07:56 - Oct 23 with 5928 views | 1907 | The two best parts of the article are: "During the due diligence process, we will formalise our previously-stated intention for the club to be held by an organisation that is and will always be majority fan-owned, democratic and debt-free.” Immediately followed by "It will also be a platform for a capital influx into Bury and the current bid includes funds from overseas and a pending application (to) the UK government.” So either these overseas investors are a good of men, sat in Nigeria, who like to inbox middle aged women on Facebook promising the earth. Or they’re those Robin Hood sorts who take from the rich and give to the poor, with no expectation of repayment. The alarm bells are ringing already.
tomorrow can't come quick enough on 08:45 - Oct 23 with 5832 views | 442Dale | So little substance, an absence of transparent detail and lots of emotional grandstanding. Their biggest problem appears to be that so many appear so incredibly annoyed that the more rational, sensible and intelligent fans have been able to set up what appears to be a well run, enjoyable club to follow. So now this lot want to do the same and pretend it’s not a new club but the proper Bury. Except it isn’t and that really, really eats away at them. Because, of course, they know.

Well hopefully local businesses won't be foolish enough to give them any credit. I wouldn't deal with them, without cash up front. This whole football creditors crap needs to end. The FA and whatever league they end up in need to enforce strict financial guidelines on them that limit any debt. [Post edited 23 Oct 2021 13:00]

Aye, and if you’d listened when we first showed an interest in what was going on at your club, you might still have one that’s playing in league football today. That must really irritate.

From afar it always seemed that warring factions within the fanbase was one of the main reasons they struggled to survive the Day / Dale situation... ... Couple that with the idea of 51% fan ownership - that idea only works if the fan representatives within the club don't fall for a future 'investor' and agree to rewrite their legal terms. Didn't forever bury give up their place on the board at the start of Day's tenure and that's where it all started to go really tits up? Its hard to write about them without sounding like you're gloating, but in all honesty it feels like our fans pulled together over the summer to save the club (& I mean fans who previously didn't get on at all, and will probably never be 'mates' or have the same world view) - there was a common goal and everyone united behind it. If bury can't so the same then I fear this is dead before it starts. With every passing day I'm more grateful to the Trust & new BOD... what's happening on the other side of Heywood is a clear reminder of just how close we came this Summer. tomorrow can't come quick enough on 16:36 - Oct 25 with 4280 views | EllDale | I like the way as well that they take it for granted that they will start in a higher tier than the Phoenix club which is attracting gates of 1000 plus from what I can gather. Do they realise how difficult it is to start from scratch and then compete in Tier Six? Deluded, absolutely deluded.
