It's that time of the year again. Fun down on the a farm somewhere in deepest, darkest Somerset. Anyone on here going or has been in the past? An interesting, eclectic line up I see this year, old and new, something for all.
I last went in 1979. Tom Robinson was there then. He's there this year I see.

The Who were awesome , as I expected they would be , especially Won't get fooled again.
Did'nt bother with Kanye and like other people of a certain age went to see Moody Blues instead, who were excellent and can still put on a great show.

Very tame. Crowd mostly looked liked made in Chelsea wannabes or tired mums and dads trying to momentarily relieve their youth as a break from the mortgage. The bbc glastonbury website has videos (often the whole set) from all bands. Best for me were the fall - Mark e smith a mix of alcoholic pissed up man in the pub and genius. Ryan Adams may have been good but for some reason Beeb only have one of the weaker tracks from his set online. Vintage trouble listenable but as with most of the headliners a bit too showy. Patti smith was reasonable. Weller as mentioned the solo stuff cannot compare to his jam material. Maybe better on smaller stages? But for the headliners as billy childish sang on thatchers children "even rock n'roll is selling a car". One more tuff love (again only one track on Beeb website last time I looked) showed real promise.... [Post edited 30 Jun 2015 8:56]
