I remember going to MK Dons for a lacklustre cup performance was thinking with our away form and cup form if we get an away draw in the FA Cup could be the poorest away following in a while.

it wont effect our away following as a large amount of fans don't go specifically for the game, they go for the crack. literally. and the blow.

Very frustrating, quick look at the table and we have the 9th best, yes that's 9th best home record in the league.

Even something like being 15th/16th best team away and we would be safe.

Another stat I heard today - Rob Green has made the most saves and let in the most goals, that part we know, of any GK in the PL this season.

'Even something like being 15th/16th best team away and we would be safe. '

your post reminds me of a time when I was sent to Reposes a house this fat bird was renting, when we got there we found Dildos, nipple clamps, batteries , strap on's, we also found loads of DVD 'S of large African Men, one was called Huge Man meat 3,
I stole said DVD and wrapped it up for My Bosses secret santa at work, the look on her face was a picture

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

Normally do about half the aways in a season, or close to it.

Went to Spurs and said that was that for the season. It was so bad.

Ended up going to west ham as a mate (LOTR) was back home from Oz.

Am going to Sunderland away, as it tradition on a tuesday night. Might do Liverpool as I've mates up there but while we are the way we are I can't justify the spend to regret it so much.

Fair play to all those that stick with it.

I swore that Charlton last season would be my last away game while Harry was in charge. Then I said the same after Spurs in August, and Newcastle 2 weeks ago. This time I really mean it.

I think some diehards might be in a perverse competition - keep on going until you can say you were there when we got our first away win.

Personally, I will now stay at home during future away fixtures and self flagellate with nettles. Just as painful, but cheaper.

fans will go cos we are qpr, used to losing
away games are for the crack, new ground (hopefully, few left for many now though) wind up the home tobys and get messy , whilst standing up!
i hate em cos we have the newer sit down brigade
watch any away team at emirates, all stand, one steward gets 3000 to sit?

that charlton away game killed a lot of my enthusiasm....

Best thing I ever did knocking that on the head. Not the same Club

After going religiously with my son to virtually all away games for the last 6 years or so I have now stopped, it's not the money it's the fact that it has become a soul destroying waste of time. cast your mind back to the promotion year under Warnock and it was an inflatable inspired party, win or lose; under Hughes and HR it has become a depressive litany of failure. Losing is always depressing but setting up every game with no ambition whatsoever; and I include last year in the Championship, means that in the vast majority of games we are limited to at most a couple of chances a game. Forget HR saying it's be cos we have only played the good teams; last season we lost pitifully to Doncaster, Charlton, Sheffield Wednesday, Blackburn, Brighton, Bournemouth, as well as all the big teams such as Leicester, Burnley and Derby.. This has become a pattern and a state of mind within the club and as Clive and others have pointed out places an unrealistic reliance on home games... It needs to change or we will go down and away attendances will continue to drop. I truly salute all my fellow rs who went to Wales last night and are off to Liverpool next week; until a month ago that was me... now I don't even plan on going to Arsenal and I cannot remember the last time I missed a London derby!

I went to Burton and am going to Everton. But I live 15 minutes from the Pirelli and I'm working in Manchester. I've never been to Goodison, so that's another one off the list. Based on Rangers' performances away this season I'm still not convinced it's a good idea.

This 'all our eggs in the home basket' tactic will end in tears, come the end of the season. How these boys have the stomach form the away games , I don't know.

I've been to Spurs, Burton, West Ham and Newcastle so far this season and despite the scores, I haven't regretted going to any of them.
If the score is everything that matters to you when you're watching Queens Park Rangers play away then you're supporting the wrong team.
I also follow England away just to add to the ultimate disappointment.
It's all about the experience and the crack.
So, follow my mantra - follow QPR (or England) away and expect to lose every game. That way, anything else is an enjoyable bonus...

Similar outlook that I only go to away games for the social side of it and have enjoyed all the aways I have done this season ( Dublin pre season , Spurs , Southampton , Chelsea & Newcastle ) but it still pisses me off greatly when we show no attacking intent and try and get a 0-0

As for England done a few aways but after the majority of the England fans shat themselves in Moscow and hid in the Cosmos hotel I haven't really bothered since

I may be over simplifying it. But isnt it still 11 vrs 11 regardless of what patch of grass we are playing on, be it in London or Newcastle? Surely the best tactic is to just go out and play the game and try and score more than the other team. Like i say it my be a simpistic view but whatever tactics or "cleaver football men" managment team are trying plainly ISN'T working.

I'm not going to another away game until the new year when we play teams Redknapp thinks we can beat which is when I'd expect to see a change of approach to away games. Still I've been going away for years and 9 times out of 10 under various managers and with different sides we are usually crap

It's not about the score. It's about the set up and approach, of which we have none. I've been going away (6-10 a season) for 30 odd years and the last two seasons have been appalling especially considering the resources to hand.
I wlways went when I could what ever the situation but my own situation has changed and the football being served up is dire so I just can't do it anymore.

If they ever come to Australia again I will do both Home for me and away for the R's

Being serious
On a different slant under HR as others have said the total lack of ambition away means I will just wait for a replay on Sunday than stay up all night watching the game on the box.

So you're worse than just an armchair fan, you're an armchair replay fan! That's only one rung above the lowest type of fan, the MOTD fan.

last time I watched QPR away was Wimbledon, Selhurst park!!
I actually feel ive let the side down a bit.
When I say" side" ,I actually mean our fans, not that rabble on the pitch.
I like home comforts.

Well done pal missed the point of the comment or just to busy teeing off on fellow supporters? Whats the difference with fans on this thread living in England and not wanting to waste their time and money going to very poor away games and some one on the other side of the planet who can only see games on tv but again not wanting to waste in the middle of the night their time and money ie not working by watching ( some of the away games recently ) games later? If not feel free to abuse most other posters on this thread.

Just for your total naivety I've followed this club for near 40 years, an international member and love the fact we are back in the premiership as it gives me the chance to watch games either live (most home and previous seasons away's ) or at least a replay later.
