1) Stand around hoping to get a pass regardless of whether in an available position to receive or not
2) Get ball on occassion
3) Turn like a tanker
4) Lose ball
5) Jog slowly without defensive thought or effort

I thought he was decent first half, the only times we attacked with any purpose it was through him. Went missing a bit 2nd half but still feels like the only midfielder who won't give the ball away.
Massively missed the Chileans today. Onuoha was our weakest player I thought and Barton just doesn't offer the pace or trickery that Vargas has.

can't fault the effort again, thought we were well organised again and posed a threat when we got forward, thought Austin should have done better with those chances in the first half but final ball abysmal again and we really missed Vargas as we had very little threat out wide.
Fer struggling out wide, thought he should have moved into the middle when sandro went off with phillips or hoilett going wide.
The kind of brave battling narrow defeat I expected to be honest, still miles better than we looked in the first 6 games but still plenty of work to be done |  | | |
