Went to the Oxford Vs Barnet match today, seemed like a good idea at the time and must say I enjoyed it...... Playing up front was Kevin 'Fatboy' gallen, who showed glimpses of his class, however, it is fair to say that the years have no been kind, he now has no pace at all and is fairly pedestrian. Gallen was subbed in the 2nd half after trying his best.
Jake Cole on the other hand had a good game, making a few good and telling saves in the second half and really kept Barnet in the game, when Oxford pressed forward all second half.
Game reminded me of Rangers a few years ago when Barnet had the run of play in the first half and deservedly scored, however, what ever was said at half time had no effect as they sat back and invited the Oxford pressure. Strangest of all were the substitutions, one being to bring Izale Macloed on, who was unbelievably bad. Overall, I though Barnet deserved a point, and it was good to see some old Rangers faces in action....... |  |
