Camden Palace staple - have said before on here... I remember hearing that for the first time in there and it blew me away.
Made it my mission to buy it the very next day
Yeh what a venue as well. Good to see its back up and running after the fire. I never call it KOKO , its Camden palace, end of.
Funnily enough im going there in a few weeks to watch Prince's old band The New Power Generation do a tribute show. Not sure ive been back there since i double dropped in about 1998.. lol

The two records I loved and could see were a thing before I ever knew what Acid House was
Remember this on the boat 34 years ago almost today England v Holland with EmellRs - Harwich to the Hook....
This was one of the first for me….
Having been into Electro & Hip Hop I caught the wave of acid slightly later than I should’ve done really. Still loved the fact it was underground and got sneered at by almost everyone. Loved the rawness and energy of it….. they asked Can You Feel It?…. I could and it felt great
Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

I love the fact Oochie koochie was made from samples of Colin Favers Kiss fm radio show.

Prog. The drop between 7 mins 40 secs to 8 mins 15.... Could you imagine your average modern pop EDM audience waiting for the payoff at 8:15? I don't think so.
No pinky and perky bongos Steve!

Mate me too, I couldn't condone house or acid house, my last 12'' maybe late 87 was Starsky and Hutch, then as well as Oochy Koochy, i think it was these 3 lol or 303 and then well we allknow the score lol

Oh yes…. Yes indeed.
Hitting the Balearics in 1988 as a wide eyed 17 year old and seeking out the dance clubs due to my soul boy / ska head tastes took me to a new world. Vaguely aware of this new phenomenon via friends and the wonderful building industry of the time but I walked into Alexandra’s Nightclub that first night and it took my breath away. The raw 303 sound and pumping beats caught me like a lasso and it’s never let me go. Royal House was the anthem that holiday and the rest is history…. Who’s in the House? I said who’s in the house?
