The Frankie Friday Music Thread.....RIP on 13:55 - Dec 5 by Lblock
W13R them's some slabs of plastic there - not heard Soma for donkeys.
Let's get commercial on yo asses.
Tyree Cooper -- always reminds me of collecting a rig from KS&L in Hanwell back in the day with a classic story involving a buxom young lady going past in her car
Beatmasters -- the hook gets into your head
And here's one that kind of almost made a commercial cross over. I always loved it and found it hilarious, even if it's not your bag watch it to the end for some classic still photos.
With W13R on that Jolly roger Track.
Gutted to miss the Frankie Thread the last couple of weeks as have actually have had to do some work on a Friday - a novel concept.
Been catching up on the last few posts and enjoying the reminiscing
Bass you say ?

All this talk of the Tudor Rose and it's smoke belch....
I think I may have told this story when I posted this tune pages and pages ago... We were playing at this bash in Wembley around 1992 and had the place rocking (there may have been other forces at work to assist!!!) Got to mid point in the evening and I turned off the power to deck one for the slow roll down of the record, we absolutely BLASTED this gaff with smoke and killed every single light in the gaff. You couldn't see anything but we knew what we were up to and the UV light by the decks meant we could kind of see our way around. Left everyone hanging for a good couple of minutes and then had this one on deck two queued up with the "Is there anyone out there?" sample on loop. that was echoing around this place and we turned on one strobe light on slow flash behind the decks and as the tune built the place went ab-so-loot-ley bonkers. Not bigging myself up but that was probably one of my finest moments ever in that scene and this tune gets the hairs on the back of my neck standing up whenever I hear it for that memory
LB, great story mate there was definitely nothing better than a bit of smoke, strobe and lasers going off when you was in the moment.

Did anybody mention Bass, smoke, strobes & lasers?
Does me every time especially 6 mins in............... lets have it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Orbital were the Chemical Brothers while the Chemical Brothers were in short pants Absolute pioneers
The story I was told was they took their name from a The Sun headline that was sensationalising the scene back then but called raves "Orbital Party's" because the M25 used to be used to get to fields and warehouses around London. The were great though those two brothers
I remember hearing Chimes for the first time at an Energy do on their big rig. Jesus that sub base went right through you and I spent 7 minutes trying to catch green laser beams Good times
Chucking this double, triple, quadruple whatever spackman in the mix
CMON U R's!!! Need it today
Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal
Here's my last one before I hit the road to the Adelaide and sweat on another MASSIVE home game. Another from the 1990 stable of smoke and lasers with the moog in full effect and a "thumping repetitive base that keeps the drug crazed kids in a trance until sunrise" (c) The Sun
Have it
C'MON U R's!!!!
Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal
