This brings back so many memories of clubbing in Liverpool circa 1993, love the sample at 2:40, use to go off at that point. 'Brothers and sisters, the time has come for each and every one of you to decide whether you are going to be the problem or whether you are going to be the solution You must choose brothers, you must choose It takes five seconds, five seconds of decision, five seconds to realize your purpose here on the planet It takes five seconds to realize that it's time to move, it's time to get down with it Brothers, it's time to testify and I want to know, are you ready to testify? Absolte stormer.... as was THE perennial Lion Rock track that was a prog anthem to me.
That sample always reminds me of this one as well. Another big tune I always used to hear if out and about up North. I remember being in a gaff in Blackpool and this one took the roof off but it was a strange old expirence to see young ladies raving in six inch stilletos and greyhound skirts
Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

Right...... easing into a Friday now with some numbers from one the UK's finest soul products - Loose Ends
"Sort ya life art"
This one evokes so many memories. I was 16 going on 17 and I can still recall rolling round in my mates VW Golf, this blaring, Blue Stratos in the air like a buncefield vapour cloud, luminous Lyle & Scott jumpers, faded jeans and.... beleive me.... I had a full head of hair all wedged and stepped. Days....
You can pick me up - you can pull me down
And finally
Have a good day all... better than me anyway
Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

Essex Acid house from the second summer of love, 1988.
Always preferred the b side Psycho mix to the more commercial a side mutant mix, which Ilfords Nick Power caned to death on Kiss, but both versions bring the memories flooding back in Fluoro and tie dye .
The Duke Of New York. A-Number One.
