The Frankie Friday Music Thread.....RIP on 11:50 - Mar 6 by ngbqpr
Morning fellow Frankies.
So we all know Spotfiy has many flaws - but it has its uses. Those of you who have made a pact with the devil and use it may enjoy this monster playlist that I've played a part in.
Shedloads of house & techno from 1984 - 2021. Deliberately avoiding the obvious ( eg we don't need another playlist with Voodoo Ray or Where Love Lives), but equally not being wilfully obscure.
If you like some of the following, it'll be up your street: Digweed, Larry Heard, DJ Pierre, Jimpster, X-Press 2, Dave Seaman, Ron Trent, Dixon, Deep Dish, Max Cooper, Robert Babicz, Moodymann, Marshall Jefferson, Kolsch - and many many more.

Yeah, definitely part of his Ambient Works 85-92, just not selected!
Polygon Window ‎— 'Surfing On Sine Waves' is another one from that era that I still find breathtaking and is always not far from the turntable. Simply stunning.

My favourite from that album. I saw him playing at Field Day a few years ago. It was mainly a DJ set but he threw this in. I had got separated about 20 feet from my oldest lad and we just looked over at each other and smirked a satisfying look at each other.
