I was a Jazz Funk and Rare Groove purist not at all sure about house until I heard these two (surprised neither have been put up yet) then it all changed.........................
This is one of my all time favourites kind of compliments Hardfloor Acperience
I love the 4 minute build up on this.....
Oh and this ones for Disco Droid, I'm not sure if Frankie would approve as it's a bit nosebleed but hopefully DD does
By the way whoever put up the Soft House Co. tune way back at the beggining - Thankyou !
Have a good Friday everyone !

Blimey O'Reilly.... surely I've put this one up on here before?! I've a nagging doubt that neither myself or anyone else has.... pure wrong!
This one served me well for many a year as my second last end of the night stormer. I absolutely love this and it needs to be played from start to finish and played LOUD.
One for the Rangers... We're Movin On Up, movin on up, movin up.. we're almost there!
Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

Soft House Co was me Brixton. An under-rated classic if ever I heard one.
Phuture Acid Trax was a seminal moment for me as well mate.

Michael "Beat You, Batter You, Hurt You" Watford you say? That man has vocals on vocals
Back then
Lovely MAW treatment
Movin up a gear with Jamie Lewis
And then a few years ago --- a big favourite of Pu Trouble Anderson if memory serves
Mr Parker .... once again we salute you for knocking on the memory door with Michael Watford..... hope all okay with you.
No Worries Lblock, the smooth tones of Mr Watford always go down a treat the great thing about these threads is its making me dig out my old collection every weekend hope your health is picking up fella, be good if all the Frankie crew could all meet up for a Wembley final pre match booze up
And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot

OutwestR -- there's been a bit of dues paid to that genre. Not a huge favourite of mine now but I did used to love it back in the day. Those tunes and that style always reminds me of the Colin Dale Abstract Dance Show on Kiss FM (early legal days) - listen to Dale & Favor got me threw a couple of stages of my degree sitting up into the wee small hours.
All good in the hood
Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

Cheers for that -- I'm getting there, not firing on all cylinders yet but hope to have the all clear to raise a glass 2nd leg game and then onto Wembley....
Keep this slabs coming chaps -- blowing the dust off some classics always well in order

That takes me back LBlock Did you used to listen to LWR? Jazzy Ms was the first House Music radio slot I heard anywhere. I still remember it was an hour on Tuesday night and the same on Thursday night
He introduced me to this fantastic track that I still play to this day. (apologies if it is on this thread earlier but I can't recall posting it up!)

Those were brilliant shows. If my memory is right it was Dale followed by Favor (Outer Limits?) on Thursday nights. Colin's brother Mark was a pretty handy DJ as well.
In those (early legal days) that was one hell of a station; the two Colin's, Coldcut, Manasseh, Gilles P, Patrick Forge, Jazzy B, Weatherall now and again. Awesome.
How about some UK business then ...

Yes I used to listen to LWR... I was introduced to pirate stations by a group of soul boys who's younger brother I was mates with. It was Horizion, bit of Robbie Vincent on Radio London and slowly it became a passion. I used to get laughed at on building sites as I'd run copper earth cable everywhere trying to get a signal to tune into Centreforce, Green Apple, Girls and countless others. We'd NEVER listen to mainstream and when Kiss went legal it made things easie plus then there was also Choice FM to give some soul, R&B etc.
Still big for me and I'd sooner listen to Point Blank or Passion FM than anything else.
Good stuff

Nice one Croydon, that Soft house Co really is a classic to me. Talking about radio stations the only place I had that was on a tape I'd made of Dance 93FM early 1990 - that was a good station too.
LWR was brilliant I actually sent of for a T Shirt and still wore it for years until it fell apart. I think it broadcast from Dunkery Rd in Mottingham SE9 and I had a brilliant reception where I lived then.
L Block, That Maurice This is Acid is great - I thought I'd made that one in my head as hadn't heard it for years. It sounds to a bit like Royal House Can you party to my untrained ear though that sampled Marshall Jefferson.
Paul Parker is right about an LFW Frankie crew drink . If we did make it Wembley or (even Wigan away) we've got enough DJ's here to find pub with a sound system, borrow a lap top and stage an impromtu pre match Frankie tribute lol
This one totally reminds me of Centreforce. station.
PLUR as they used to say.

if we do make Wembley (A big if I think) couldn't you make it over ? I reckon TF should give you free travel on Air Asia to Abu Dhabi and then u could get a cheap Etihad flight to London or he should lend the Oz&NZ R's the QPR plane !
Mind you there's enough Rangers in Oz to have a simultaneous party ?
Where in Oz are you ? I it went here on a Friday/Saturday night in January and the music was similar to this thread http://www.oostende.com.au/ the DJ was English I think.
This one's for you mate.
BTW it would be like meeting anyone of the Fenton's having a drink with you and DD before Wembley i.e. A pleasure and a privilege !

I was on holiday in Wales last month. Had to drive into town to pick some stuff up and heard this on the way back on the Annie Mac. Todd Terge (pronounced Todd Terry), named in homage to the original, putting out some major tunes.
I have the CD and have been thundering it out for the last three weeks.
It kicks in at about 2.10 and then gets deeper, funkier and dirtier. Balearic keyboards anyone? Boom.
