The Frankie Friday Music Thread.....RIP on 17:28 - May 29 by PunteR
Thanks mate. Yeh Ben was the same age as me, left a wife and 2 kids (9 and 15 years old) Very sad. He only found out he had cancer in Feb.
Very sorry to hear that mate - RIP to him and his family.
Happy Birthday to yourself... 41? I think I can recall that far back!! With sad news and Birthday's one of my favourite Jean Carne tracks springs to mind - the original is as smooth as rat in a brothel. This JN re-touch is however an absolute monster and must be a Nigel from me. Stay positive old fella and lets enjoy it while we're here
Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

Really sorry to hear that mate. Such sad news for all involved. And 41 is no age. Feels like I've been reading about alot of people in their 40's passing away recently. We should all appreciative of what we've got and to an extent live for the day.
Hope you have a good birthday mate. You're probably one of the youngest of the 6 or 7 hardcore of us that actually post on this thread.
What a day, what a day...... Turned it all in now and have been looking forward to a cold bottle of Curious Brew all day and just on time the sky goes well grey. Typical!!
Sean McCabe - blinding. I got sent a mix CD of the man by PointBlank a while back and I wore it out in the car. Pucker I think I put this one up before?
I think he has the feel of Morales about him.

Gents.... I'd assume some of you are across this new'ish station?
I believe Dave Stewart is one of the forces behind it and a lot of PointBlank and Select's old line up have or are defecting across. Live shows are still few and far between but their archive shows (!!) run good tunes all day. Dave is on Wednesday and Saturday mornings and there is a great show called Soul train every Thursday 8.00pm to 10.00pm.

Well I am off to see Aphex tomorrow at Field Day so here is a few from my favourite artist. Have a good weekend everyone. Just listen to the melody in amongst the madness. Genius.
By the way, a refreshing break from the politics on here!

Too good.
There's just something about his production that you know its him within a couple of minutes, a bit like Ross Couch tracks.

Funny enough I had a flier through the post the other day for LMR as the brother-in-law has his post redirected whilst he is working away.
Had a quick listen on Sunday but didn't realise the amount of ex PB DJ's on there. Will deffo tune in more often now I know more about the line ups.
Anyway, thank f**k for this thread as the site currently feels like a party political broadcast for the Labour Party. Sorry if any of you boys are Labour but it's really boring the pants off me, plus their all bad as each other in my eyes.
The only political track in my stack!
