Higginbotham joins Falkirk

Recent released winger Kallum Higginbotham has headed North and signed a contract with Scottish First Division side Falkirk.

Higginbotham's release from the club came across very much as a touch and go decision, after much improved performances in the final year of his three year contract at the club.

But despite scoring the goal of the season against Accrington, Higginbotham's time at Dale, and despite interest from a number of League Two sides, Higgy has opted to try his luck North of the Border.

Higginbotham has signed a two year contract with the Bairns, much to the pleasure of Falkirk boss Steven Pressley who admitted to have Higginbotham watched on a number of occasions over the past season.

With Higginbotham joining Falkirk, there are now four former Dale players of recent years plying their trade in Scotland, with Patrick McCourt and Matty Hughes at Celtic, and Rory McArdle at Aberdeen.
