Sulemana Tipped For Loan Move To The Netherlands

Although the transfer window slammed shut in England on Friday, it doesn't close in the Netherlands until later tonight and the latest reports is that Kamaldeen Sulemana could be moving to Ajax on loan.

Ideally Southampton would prefer to get Sulemana off the books on a permanent basis, but failing that a season long loan with an option to buy at the end of it would be preferable than to see him getting paid for contributing very little for at least the next 4 months till the January window opens.

Getting a loan fee and his wages paid would at least recoup some of the money forked out in January 2023.

According to the Daily Echo transfer expert Fabrizio Romano is claiming that Saints have now verbally agreed a deal for Dutch giants Ajax to sign Kamaldeen on loan with an option to buy.

Personal terms are still in negotiations, and the deal can only happen IF Steven Bergwijn leaves the club.
