Saints are said to have beaten Leeds United in the race to sign a winger from a Premier League club and have the medical booked in for Tuesday according to respected journalist Fabrizio Romano, but which one of the two targets we are linked with is it? Read on and find out.

Southampton have won the race to sign AFC Bournemouth winger David Brooks according to a report on insidefutbol.com the player is said to be booked in for a medical on Tuesday afternoon according to Fabrizio Romano on his X account who says that Bournemouth have agreed terms with Saints for a loan till the end of the season.

Where that leaves the deal for Manuel Benson will be open to speculation, but in an earlier report on The Ugly Inside this afternoon Transfer merry go round may see 1 out & 2 in at St Mary's we predicted that both players could come in and that Che Adams will be the subject of a late bid by Wolves.
