Refwatch: FC Halifax Town v Rochdale

Dale’s first competitive game at Halifax in over 21 years on Saturday will be refereed by AJI AJIBOLA.

The Kent official is in his third season refereeing on the National List and this will be his tenth appointment of the campaign at that level.

Dale have already seen Aji this term, as he was the man in the middle for our FA Cup fourth qualifying round defeat at Hereford.

A Strategic Sales Lead for Canon UK, Mr Ajibola has also refereed three games in the EFL Trophy (at Crawley, Reading and Wycombe), which suggests he could be on the radar for promotion to the National List next term.

Saturday will be only the second time Aji has refereed a National League game north of Birmingham, with his appointment at Altrincham v Bromley in September being the other.

His 13 matches this term have yielded 55 yellow cards and one red, which he showed back on the opening day of the campaign.
