Southampton Lining Up Bid For Aberdeen Striker

Saints are making plans should they need to replace Che Adams in the next few days and reports in Scotland suggest that one of their targets is Aberdeen striker Bojan Miovski, read on to find out more.

According to footballfancast.com

ne of the potential replacements for Che Adams should he leave the club before the end of this transfer window is Aberdeen's Macedonian striker Bojan Miovski.

The 24 year old joined the Dons from MTK Budapest last summer after two years in Hungary and last season he scored 16 goals for Aberdeen in the Scottish Premier League, he has also played 13 games for Macedonia.

The sources North of the border suggest that Saints are looking at offering a £4 million package to bring in the striker, who Russell Martin had been tracking when he was manager of Swansea City.

This will not excite Southampton supporters who will be looking for someone with a little bit more of a track record than Miovski would bring to the club.

Another that Martin is said to be following closer is Hearts striker who ironically was called into the Scotland squad back in March as a replacement for the injured Che Adams,

Having just turned 28 Shankland has extensive experience in the Scottish Premiership and also a season with Beerschot in Belgium.

Last season with Hearts saw him score 24 goals in just 37 games and that is a record that would excite Saints fans more than that of Miovski.

Shankland is being watched by a number of clubs and Southampton are said to be one of them.

The rumour mill is about to turn and the problem with this is that Saints are not quite in control of it, whether they sign a striker or not will depend entirely on whether an acceptable offer comes in for Che Adams.
