Spurs Defender On Saints Radar
More turnings on the Rumour Mill with Saints vying with Everton and Bournemouth for a central defender from Tottenham Hotspur, does this have any truth ?
Japhet Tanganga is the man in question, the central defender has played 23 times in the Premier League for Spurs, 11 of them last season before he sustained a knee injury in the final third of the season.
At 23 he is at a crossroads in his career, he still has three years left on his Spurs contract, but he is at an age when he really needs to be playing regular first team football.
He is not short on suitors and Southampton and Everton are said to be interested in a loan deal for next season with Bournemouth also in the mix.
Tottenham are open to letting the versatile defender who can not only play in the centre of defence but also as a right back depart on loan, although there’s interest from Italy as well, with AC Milan seemingly keen.
