Saints Announce 4th Pre Season Friendly

Southampton have announced another pre season friendly ahead of the 2022/23 season and they will host French club Monaco at St Mary's this means that ex Saints loanee Takumi Minamino will be making a return to St Mary's.

Monaco will play Saints at St Mary's on Wednesday 27th July with a 7.45pm kick off.

In the ranks will be Takumi Minamino who spent time at St Mary's on loan in the second half of the 2020/21 season scoring two goals in the process, he signed for Monaco on July 1st for a fee of around £13.5 million from Liverpool.

Monaco are a week or two more advanced in their pre season preparation than Saints as they are due to play in the Champions league 3rd qualifying round on 2nd/3rd August.

Ticket details are yet to be announced but are expected to be in line with the prices for the game against Villarreal a few days later.
