Ground Name: Adams Park
Capacity: 10,000 all seated
Address: Hillbottom Road, High Wycombe, HP12 4HJ
Telephone: 01494 472 100

By Car: As those who have been before will testify, Adams park is essentially in the middle of nowhere, stuck right at the end of an access road in an industrial estate with a sloping field on one side and woods on the other. Thankfully it is just about on the M40 side of town which makes driving slightly easier. From the centre of town take the A40 and M40 out of town, leaving the motorway at junction four and taking the fifth exit at the roundabout onto the A4010 signposted for Aylesbury. Follow the A4010 for two miles, taking the second exit at three roundabouts, sticking with the signs for Aylesbury – the AA advises speed cameras along this whole section. At the fourth roundabout after 27 miles of your journey and just over two miles since the motorway (a mini one) turn left onto Lane End Road following signs for Lane End, then turn right onto Hillbottom Road and the ground should be pretty obvious from there. This is a 28 mile trip from Loftus Road and should take 55 minutes at the speed limit.

Parking: You can park on the field next to the ground for £3, this is at the end of the only road to the ground and is therefore normally a nightmare after the match however with only two stands open for this and a low crowd expected it might be ok this Tuesday. Failing that some of the factories in the area open for parking and the nearer you can get to the A4010 the quicker you will get away at the end.

By Train: Trains for this run from Marylebone with a journey time of between 30 and 45 minutes. Trains leave roughly every five minutes on the way there, and at 2206, 2259, 2304 and 2325 afterwards. An anytime day return ticket is £15.60 and that will be available for purchase on the day at the station. It’s a good 40 minute walk from station to ground but there are several pubs on the way if you fancy making a crawl of it.

Pubs: There is a supporters club at the ground that admits people for £2, away fans are usually welcome but I’m not sure if that will be open or the case on Tuesday. The White Horse has questionable pre-match entertainment on match days and is on the way from the station to the ground, The Hourglass is the nearest pub to the ground, other than that it’s town centre drinking.

Tickets: It’s all pay on the gate for this one, £10 for adults, £5 for seniors, students and juniors. Two sides of the ground are going to be open for this match.
